2.5mg twice a week = sex drive 90% gone, but can be stoked with stimuli in real life or with porn
2.5mg every day = sex drive nonexistent, the thought of sex or women is completely foreign and occupies less than 1% of my thoughts throughout the day. porn is largely uninteresting, haven't look at it in months and feel no desire to

Why are you on letro? I remember you saying that arimidex gave you allergic reactions. Switch to aromasin...

You remember. Is aromasin better than letro? Any reason why I should switch to it? I am not familiar with it.

I took finasteride for several years. After I stopped, my T level remained relatively low (400 compared with 1000 before fin) and my estradiol remained very high (50), even three years after I stopped the fin. So the letro is a way to put my hormone levels back where they were and hope they'll stay there. fin is a very dangerous feminizing drug, but people think it's a harmless hair loss pill.

Not me, bro. I wouldn't touch that stuff if you paid me.

Did you read up on the side effects of the different compounds (including sexual)?
If not, I'd look into it. After reading your post, I would be trying to see if I could change, if I were you.

I am not sure what you mean. What compounds are you referring to? The letro and aromasin? Yes but I am under the care of a doctor, not randomly playing with these drugs. He's the one who prescribes.

Yep that's the ones that I was referring to.

Well, if you are happy with the results that he has gotten you....more power to you.

Aromasin wont crash your estrogen so easily. It will also be less harsh on lipids, increase igf, lower shbg, etc. It’s the best aromatize inhibitor out there imo. Is there a reason that your doctor is crushing your estrogen completely? Because I don’t see it having any purpose lol.

I don't have a choice I just do what the doctor says

We started with anastrozole but it didn't lower estradiol enough, so we tried letro. The goal is to get the body used to high T and low E. If aromasin won't lower estradiol levels too much, then they may remain too elevated. Maybe that's why he didn't prescribe it

I’d consider seeing other doctors to get their opinion on your doctors method, because using letro to increase test doesn’t really sound too good of an idea imo

What are you running in terms of gear? You said when you take 2.5mg everyday sex drive is nonexistent but can you still get hard if you try? Have you made any gains while being on letro? I know that if your estrogen is crashed you can’t gain muscle, can you say this is true in regards to yourself taking 2.5mg everyday?

I have never taken any gear. The letro is only to fix the hormonal imbalance caused by the finasteride.

Yes I can get hard if I try but feel no desire to. Having no sex drive is a weird and magical place. I can focus on so many other things.

I cannot say that I see any gains beyond what is normal or any supraphysiological benefit.

When I was on letro 2x/week my T level was around 1000. I think now it must be 1200-1500 probably, but it feels no different than when it was 400, and I even went through a period when it was as low as 100, and I felt no different and my lifts in the gym were no weaker, I was shocked when I got the blood results.

As much as we like to focus on T as the main indicator of things, the human endocrine system is a complex feedback loop

I took cialis everyday for reasons unrelated to erections. It works and gives rock hard erections, but it does not affect sex drive, it remains nonexistent

What is your oestrogen levels?
You mean estradiol? Before, it was around 50 (too high), on anastrozole it was around 40 (too high), on letrozole 2x/week it was around 20, on letrozole every day I don't know, did not do a blood test, but I imagine it's below 10.

2.5mg daily there is no doubt that its below 10. Hell i bet its not even measurable on any test.

You are probably correct. Side effects I feel:

- tired, haven't been to the gym in weeks, haven't set any PRs in months
- much bigger appetite than usual
- easily injured, I injured my FINGERS doing normal things
- my joint hurt more than usual
- soft stool, too soft, bowel movements are a pain in the ass
- difficulty sleeping
- decreased sense of well-being

This thread is actually a good wakeup call. I just needed to talk about it I guess. Today I've decided to stop taking it every day. I'm gonna go back to twice a week then maybe once a week.

Yea, twice a week seemed to have your estradiol at a nice range; I think going back to twice a week is a smart move. I’m surprised that your test went up to 1000ng/dl just on aromatize inhibitors, especially in your scenario.

Yes, I suspect your Oesrogen level is too low. That will kill your libido, worsen your lipids and joints and make you feel like ****. Remember men need oestrogen as well and in the right circumstance it can actually be anabolic.

If you want to stay on Letrozole Id suggest going back to 2.5mg 2x/week or even 1.25mg 2x/week and then getting a level done after a few weeks. Letrozole is no joke, it is way too powerful to be taken lightly and can make the situation worse. It might be worth gettng another Dr to give an opinion, as your current one appears to have not done you much good.

I’m guessing a lot of guys in here haven’t read the research on letro, males, and it’s ability to raise lh, and testosterone.

Taking 2.5mg ed is a bit much. I’ll usually start out at 1/4 dose ed then work my way up to 1/2 dose eod during pct.

Estrogen and testosterone are both anabolic hormones.

I don't get the fukkin hair shet.

If your juicing, and are prone to hairloss, it will speed it up. There is nothing you can do to stop it. It is in your genes.

Sure, you can try to slow it(rogaine, finastride, nizoral etc.) But these things are not guaranteed and you have to continually use them. Forever.

It's either juice or your hair.

Shave that shet.

So your "doctor" allows you to change your dose regimen at will. He allows this even though when taking it twice a week you were on the low side of the normal range for a man and doesn't run bloodwork with said dosage changes???? Maybe your "doctor" should read up more on the board and listen to the other posters.

Incorrect. When I switched from 2x/week to everyday, he ordered a blood test, but I had to wait several weeks for the change to take effect so he could get an accurate reading. I was supposed to get a blood test these days, but won't since I switched back to 2x/week, and we already have the levels for that.

Also, what made you create an account just to respond to this thread? Or is this a duplicate account? Were you lurking the forum? Strong first post indeed.
