Yeah I wasn't sure what you wanted so I wrote a novel. There's also a lot of shouting, ammonia, video-taking, and the phrases "Come on!" and "Let's go!" are uttered about 674 billion times by virtually every one in attendance at some point or another.
 
Lol that's not as far as expected. It's funny you joke about that, but I've actually got entirely too many people coming to watch me. Never been in that position, but it's gonna be PACKED. That poor restroom....

No, why? Sounds like that would be extraordinarily uncomfortable

Woke up at 226. Sitting on under 40g carbs for the day and low sodium, plenty of protein but the fatigue is showing up. Went into the gym and did 2-3 pump sets for everything upper body, abs, and calves, and benched up to 205 for a paused set of 3. Took half an hour probably; in and out.

Tomorrow last meal and drink will be at my 9:30am break at work. Prob a couple baked chicken thighs. Will go into the gym fasted to do the big three @ 30% for a few sets of 8 one last time. Weighins are 9am Friday.
 
For me, throwing down 10g creatine and all that sugar causes me to become a faucet down under. It just kills the rehydration processes. Immodium ensures you keep what you kill. Picked up that tip from Brian Carroll's cutting e-book. Can't tell you how many times I needed Immodium after a big cut wrestling and powerlifting.

Just worried cuz never used the stuff ever and every time my gf takes it she's totally gridlocked for 3 days. I can't live with that lol. But I'll keep it on hand if I find that happening.

Hahaha thank you everyone! Today has been.....rough. Didn't have as much water as usual last night before bed, about 12-16 oz less in the morning. All I had for bfast was 2 scoop isolate mixed w/ 18oz water and E9 (and a smidge of coconut oil for a few g fat to take vitamins). Had about 16oz more water at work in the morning and 4oz black coffee w/ 8oz max of chicken thigh at 9:30am. That was the end of the line. The coffee paid off and gave me a nice lil movement. Was 226.0 this morning (from 228.0 monday morning & 231+ evenings).

Went to the gym and hit the treadmill in sweats for 15 min, did some bloodflow and a few sets of the big 3 (135/115/205) and a single of 225 on squat. Everything feeling good. My scale is on the fritz and always reads different, but I believe I'm sitting at 221.0 as of 9pm.

I've moved past hunger; it's still present but it's been almost fully eclipsed by an ever-present thirst. Got half a pack of gum left lol. 12 hours from weighins, and then tomorrow is Thanksgiving as far as I'm concerned. Gonna be 230+ Saturday morn if I have my way.
 
Right on track brotha. You're gonna wake up with enough wiggle room to have a sip of water when you wake up.

Made weight. Got there at 8:40 but didn't get checked out til 9:40 - 218.0.

Banana, Pear, 32oz Gatorade, 64oz water, biscuits and gravy w/ sausage & eggs & hashbrowns at IHOP, getting into a bag of twizzlers and hershey mini bunnies, working on a bag of Doritos, 4 White Castle sliders w/ ketchup so far. Many more sliders and doughnuts to come, and water and fruit. Already 228.4 - over 10lbs and had my first pee. Yeah buddy.
 
Oh and my kidney stopped aching. That started by 8pm last night and woke me in the night. Sleep was tough, but I'm through it all now. Time to squat 5 bills.

Did actually take first, only one other guy in my direct class (Men's 220 Open Raw) as all the other guys at that weight are wrapped. This pretty much doesn't matter remotely too me; I compete purely to validate my PR's. What you place is just a matter of who decided to show up that day.

Believe me, it's not fun - it's not as miserable as the cutting, but nearly. You have to remember these foods are all pretty foreign to my diet. It's not about eating to contentment, but far beyond. It was nice about through breakfast, and from there on was all business. If you don't have something in your hand virtually all day, you're probably not going to be as good as you'd like to be.

Congrats man! But more so, really like how you look at the entire meet and process.
 
So, the day pretty much went bass-ackwards to expectations. The power was there on the squat but technical execution wasn't - I'm simply not strong enough yet to squat 500lbs 4 inches below parallel. I spent everything grinding 501 on my second attempt, and I got the depth right on my 3rd (also 501) but there was just nothing left after that grind. Good news is my strength predictions were dead on, and I'm extremely pleased with the attempts I chose. Just need to learn to squat higher without a mirror.

Opened with a cake 270-something. Benched a lil 5lb PR of 292. Very easy press; 303 on my 3rd was an extremely boring miss. Stuck 2in off my chest where it always does, but honestly I think it was mental weakness over lack of physical power.

Figured deadlift would be junk as much as I've been toying with ways to incorporate more leg drive off the floor and trying to get my glutes to fire harder to get my hips through this training cycle. Surprisingly, it was the strongest day of pulling I've ever had. Every single pull from 135 was faster than ever before. When my last warmup of 500 moved like it did, I realized I was in for a PR. Back also took zero beating for first time ever; it's a little sore but that's just from trying to goodmorning a 1/4 ton squat. 540 was a smokeshow, 573 was an 11lb PR so I bumped it to 578 for a 16lb PR. If I'd have just jumped to 582 on my second I'm quite certain it would have been there, but I played it conservative and was still rewarded nicely.

Totaled 1322, which is only 6lbs shy of October's meet after taking a 50lb gamble on squat. If I'd have hit my squat I'd have put 20lbs on my mock meet gym total from 12 weeks ago, so I'm pretty pleased overall.

Am I correct in saying your previous meet was on cycle and this one was natural using Ergonine?

(So I know how I can reference this log and show off your efforts in the future)
 
Thanks for the support, everyone. I have some stuff I need to focus on for a bit outside lifting in the coming months, so I told myself I wouldn't do anymore meets for a bit and simply train. Then I realized that any good training cycle needs to test itself at the end of course, and word on the street is Janek is having another SPF meet 12wks from now in late June....and it is only in the town over.....

Also playing with the idea of a simple Conjugate setup instead of the Cube next time. I've run the original Cube Method for a cycle, and 3 Kingpin cycles since. The 2nd Kingpin I incorporated the Predator Bench template in lieu of the normal bench and accessory day, and it was the only time my bench has appreciably grown. Furthermore, I found over this last training cycle I had to adjust my bench % up - using 95% of a meet max is fine on squat and deadlift, but the bench was embarassingly light and easy, to the point of wasting my time.

I think my benchpress needs more frequency and a tad more weight (which I've already been incorporating), and my squat needs a bit more working weight (volume is fine). The deadlift has been slow but steady, so there's a lot of praise to be had for the Kingpin in that regard. Not many programs can boast continual 5-10lb gains in the pull every 10 weeks, let alone keeping a lot of weight off the bar.

Yup. Thinking of Tvar soon with an SD blast at the end if I go for the June meet and to push through a 500/300/600 1,400lb total in the 242 class. Never used either but they sure couldn't hurt my efforts lol

Stay in 220. You can easily keep lean with a little cardio.
