What do you guys think of doing CrossFit one day a week? Will there be any benefit to it I've already added in massive amounts of cardio in the form of exercise bike walking sex and and yoga.

We were on the Mass Pike going 65 it was raining on the way to pick up a check from a deal as I signed. It began to rain harder to the point could barely see in front of us a car cut us off she put on the brakes a little bit the minivan started to hydroplane spinning around then hit the left side highway divider spun to the middle of the highway flatbed truck hit my passenger side door blew the glass out of the window. Dented the door in inside panel hit me in the ribs. Broke 3 ribs dislocated part of my spine and dislocated my right shoulder. After all that she ended up getting a ticket for negligent operation of a vehicle imagine that ****.

Ditto on that. I literally have bottles of Vicodin, oxy and meperdine (sp?) left over from my shoulder reconstruction post-surgery pain management. I took them only up until I could (barely) manage the pain w/o them then I stopped and switched to Motrin. But I also have an addictive personality, so I am perhaps overly cautious with anything that could lead to an addiction. I keep them around in case of an emergency and since the regulations now make them damned hard to get any more, no matter how legitimate your need is.

Me too!!! I had wrist surgery last Feb and they gave me painkillers... never took 1. Saving for emergency or if the world gets taken over by zombies. I was also never supposed to lift weights again.
 
Took wifey out to dinner tonight. we had some lobster and fries . Amazing night !!!

How did you all get down tonight ?

I got down with a sick shoulder workout... followed by 1 hour low impact cardio.

That's what I like to hear sounds like a solid evening I wish I had more time for some reason I have more enjoyment for the night hours then I do the day.... I live in darkness I wouldn't have any other way

What do you guys think whey protein versus casein protein? I used to drink casein protein before bed when I was really big slow-digesting works great throughout the night when I was on a cut I would switch to whey protein and drink one scoop two times before bed about 3 hours apart but I was finding that I'd wake up in the middle of the night having hypoglycemic fits. Your input is appreciated thanks.

I used to drink casein before bed and loved it!!! I recently switched to whey because I'm poor and I can use the same protein pre workout/post workout and before bed. Whey keeps me satisfied till morning. I can't give input on blood sugar levels though Cuz I'm diabetic.

I'm learning my dieting opinions are **** and if I keep offering them everyone will hate me.

Add some coconut oil to your whey protein pre bed. It'll slow down the process and keep you more satiated

I never thought about that that's a very valid point now thank you so much for your in.

I take some fish oil with my pre bed protein. I'm poor I can't afford coconut oil
 
IMO a meal with a mix of protein and fats is far superior to casein. Or if you want the best of both, go for something like cottage cheese that has casein in it but also still needs digested as well. Even better (and far cheaper) than a powder.

Blends are far superior to whey or casein for anytime of the day anyways.
bighulksmash that's really odd about the hypo... there's literally no physiological reason I can think of that having whey would cause that effect (especially when casein doesn't since there's no carbohydrate difference...). Doesn't make sense that that would be the cause of a hypo episode
