I like to change every month or so.. Usually I do a 4 days split (my fav is push-pull).
Also independent from cutting or bulking I like to alternate a "heavy weight-low reps and sets" with a "lighter weight-high reps and sets" workout.
 
Push/pull/leg /push/pull/leg/rest
I train strength/hypo/strength/hypo

I switch up exercises every two months if I plateau.
