How to stop getting notifications??

After commenting in a thread, how can I turn off getting notifications for particular threads that you have "lost interest" in? I've tried to unsubscribe but I still get red circles at the top.

Uncheck everything under "Change Notification settings.".

It would be great if you could only get notifications for thread you had an interest in though. I believe admin is working on something like that though.

Thanks! I unchecked a couple of them. Now when I go through the "New Posts" I can go right by those threads if I want to without having to clear the notifications.
