How long would Thyrotabs Stay Good?

How long past the expiration date would the old Gaspari Thyrotabs stay good. I have a friend who is giving me some--they're still sealed, box and all--but the expiration is 05/08 I believe. Should they still be good? I know actual T3 is very sensitive to heat and time in terms of potency degradation.
