How long did you wait?

How long after starting TRT did you wait to do your first "blast"?

I'm 3 months on TRT to the day and feel great. My initial symptoms all subsided with the split dose (100mg e3.5d). Getting bloods drawn later today to confirm everything is good.

I have some Havoc on hand. Not in an urgent rush to run it but obviously would like to. I've been getting some gains from 200mg test cyp a week but nothing major.

3-4 months. Ideally you’d wait 6 months but I don’t think it’s necessary imo if you’ve had bloods and everything is dialed in

Serious answer would be until you dialed in your TRT dose. Less serious answer would as soon as possible but with enough time until next Dr blood test to let lipids normalize after you done with your blast.

Nice, if this test shows everything is dialed I may pull the trigger.

Yea definitively want bloodwork dialed first. Assuming my next draw is in 3 months (may be longer) and I did a 5 week run 20/20/30/30/30. 7 weeks off should be long enough to normalize you think?

Side note I'll be taking krill oil, multi v, Tudca, cycle assist, cialis daily, and possible GW the last 4 weeks.

It should, I did Msten for 4 weeks and stopped 4 weeks before blood work and it wasn’t too out of normal, not enough for my Dr to care at least.

Took me about a year to get really dialed in. I’ve been on TRT for almost 9 years. The longer you wait to ensure you’re dialed in, the better off you are in the long run when blasting. Just my .02
Good advice. Definitely going to see what my doc says after bloodwork. If he wants to make any changes or if any readings don’t look great yet I’ll hold off.

It's going to take multiple bloodworks before you know your dialed in. And more importantly, you need to know how to time your cycles, because if you show up to your Dr. With test levels through the roof or even slightly out of range (sometimes even still in range) it's very likely that your dr. Will cut your dose down. Like if your being prescribed 200 mg and that's supposed to have you in the 900s, and you show up for your blood work with your levels in the 2000s, get ready to have your dosage cut in half

When people are talking about dialing in your blood work, just because your doctor says everything looks good doesn't necessarily mean it's dialed in. He's going to monitor your blood work each time you go back and potentially make adjustments depending on what your number say. So you really need to wait until you've been on the same set dosing schedule milligrams etc for a good 6 months before you really know everything's good. I'm just kind of pulling these numbers out my ass but I think you get the point, you could have three or four blood works in a row where the doctor thinks everything looks fine and then all the sudden out of nowhere decide that he needs to make adjustments. Or you personally may find yourself doing fine for a couple of months and then all the sudden you realize it's not working as good as you thought it was etc. It takes time to figure it out

It took me a full year to get totally dialed in and I ran my first blast about 6 months after. What I found is that I packed on mass way faster after being on TRT and running the blast as opposed to a regular test cycle. Body must respond in a more acute fashion with the introduction of exogenous test.

yeah I get what you’re saying. Smart thing to do is wait at least 6 months. He wants me to get bloodwork in another 3 months so I will hold off and reassess then. Like you said, I don’t want to screw anything up with close timing.

so you waited 1.5 years or you’re saying 6 months after starting? But yeah I’m definitely looking forward to the synergy with the test. I’m assuming keeping your gains is a lot easier too. Do you really loose anything once going back to trt only?

Thought this was interesting. He brought up fertility yesterday. I don’t have kids and don’t know if I plan to, but I told him I’ve read about hcg. He didn’t seem to be a fan and actually suggested, if I want kids, to wean me off in 6-9 months and stop trt. Said we would try to get my natural levels working again. I told him I would not like to stop especially after finally feeling myself again. If it comes to wanting kids I’ll most likely have to find a new doc or try to persuade a different course of action.

About a year and a half from starting. I wanted to enjoy the recovery and mood benefit for awhile on TRT before adding in any variables. You would never know I had low test because I was competing in sports/activities at a high level and ripped up, but even at TRT levels I put on a quick 5lbs.

How low was your test before starting trt? I assume your reason to go on trt was mental/energy issues then?

Just in case you haven't seen, there are several threads here about hcg use for fertility and people pregnating their missus while on trt (or getting off for a moment).

oh yeah I’m aware. That’s why I mentioned it to him. Something I’ll have to figure out when the time comes

I was one that did just that. After 1.5 years of TRT + HCG, got my wife pregnant very easily.

Congrats, did you incorporate HCG from the start or add it in when trying?
I was taking the HCG the whole time. With everything I read online, I was under the impression that I would be basically sterile from the test, it was not an issue at all. Like within the first month of trying, she was pregnant.

I think that was what saved you from not being sterile. HCG is important if you want to remain a healthy sperm count.

How about adding something mild like epiandro. Would that have to be stopped before bloodwork?
