How important is eating on workout days?

I'm about 150 pounds, on a 3,000 calorie diet, what happens if you workout and you undereat? There wasnt enough food in the cabinets or enough to buy any so I only got about 1900 calories in. Can I make it up tomorrow by eating a little more than 3,000 cals or is this not possible?

It's one day. I would say forget about it and make sure you have food in cabinet for the upcoming days. One day won't hurt you.

1 day means nothing. i think study on alternate day fasting (maybe protein modified) didn't even have muscle loss. not worry!

Yep. Pretty much this. At the most you might be a little more sore the next but one day is nothing on long-term fitness goals. I've under ate, I've over ate, I'm still pushing weight!

It's always about calories in vs calories out.

As long as you are consuming more than you burn over time, you will be gaining weight.

One day won’t change much, but over time it will effect your workouts and ability to gain.

Just like one day of overeating won't make you fat, one day of undereating won't make you skinny. Buy some food and hit your macros tomorrow
