Excuse me for being a newbie, but this is my first post.

My question is: How effective are Over the Counter (OTC) prohormones/AAS for most people?

Both W. Llewellyn and S. Roberts call supplements such as Epistane, Phera plex, Superdrol, Halodrol, etc, et. "steroids". I understand that some have been banned, but you can still buy Epistane, Superdrol and Halodrol over the counter; maybe more I dont know.

Having been on this site and others doing research, I can see where some people say they get no results with some of these OTC "prohormones/AAS. However, you dont ever hear anyone that does "real" AAS ever saying that they get no results.

Does anyone have any opinion on the effectiveness of these? I am considering either epistane or phera etc, but dont want to waste my time and money. Thanks in advance.

steroids are steroids, they're not magic beans. ppl who TAKE STERIODS and dont know how to eat or train properly are the ones that complain about something not "working".

Don't bother making a distinction between "prohormones" and "real steroids". They're all the same as far risks are concerned. The concept of calling certain steroids "prohormones" probably started as a marketing tactic or something.

The popular illegal steroids are mostly steroids that have been around and used for decades - Testosterone, Boldenone, Dianabol, Anadrol, Nandrolone, Trenbolone, etc. The reason why nobody complains about the results from these compounds is because they've stood the test of time - they are effective. Not only that, but many of them have lots of clinical research behind them establishing their safety.

The "OTC" stuff that has avoided legislation is a different story. Yes, many of these compounds are extremely effective. However, these are mostly compounds that were abandoned decades ago for whatever reason - often researchers decided that the negative side effects outweighed the positive benefits. Many of these abandoned compounds were brought back and sold legally because they had not been banned yet. Typically they have little to no clinical research behind them so, in a way, people buying them have volunteered themselves as guinea pigs.

All that aside, the reason why a lot of people don't make gains with the "OTC" compounds is because they don't know what the hell they're doing. The typical OTC steroid user is a lot less educated and experienced than the typical illegal steroid user. Also, the guys using OTC steroids are WAY more likely to implement awful PCT protocols - so they end up not recovering quickly or fully, getting rebound gyno, losing gains, etc.

A pro-hormone is converted to a steroid in the body, while a steroid is already an active hormone. not a marketing technique

if you've never heard of "classic steroid" users complaining about not getting results from a steroid, you havn't been on many steroid websites.

are you a federal agent?:dunno:
