How common is it to inject into a vein accidentally?

I've done four injections so far, one in each delt and one in each glute. I read that accidentally injecting into a vein can be very dangerous. I didn't even think about this during my previous injections. Now I'm kinda paranoid to inject. How exactly can you know if you've hit a vein?

Google "how to aspirate an injection" and read up on it, its a good way to tell if you're in a vein or artery. I doubt you need to be paranoid.

Not sure how its "dangerous".

Anyway, in all my time on te interwebz, Ive never come across someone getting into a "dangerous" predicament inj into a vein. I dont see how you could accidentally mainline.

Nurses arent even trained to aspirate for IM injetions any longer. There is no need. Veins run close to the surface, if you are using 1 or 1.5s..no worries at all. To further lessen your worries, hit the glutes. 20 plus years of glutes only here...never had an issue. Relax, pin, lift, eat, sleep...no worries.

From what I know and have seen.....never have I or have heard of it. If your hitting the right spots for im injection I believe it near impossible. As someone mentioned veins sit higher than the 1"-1.5" rig you should be using for IM.

Regardless, you know I apserate each time anyway to be sure, and to make certain no air gap; that my top is on tight. I also only hit the sides of my thighs. Never have I injected in delt or glute....it's just to difficult solo and I feel like the larger muscle of thigh is best, especially as much as I walk and use my legs I feel like it's best to disperse into my system. Just my opinion and preference. Also the larger muscle of thigh I imagine it's not as painful as a smaller muscle in shoulder, I wouldn't want that pain there in my ass I sit on or in my shoulder I really need to lift.

Anyway, it is EXTREMELY unlikely bro.
