We've homebrewed injections, transdermals, orals and what not. What about nasal sprays ? I'd like to open this thread for any input and information regarding the manufacturing of nasal sprays.

Will put anything I find here as well.

Intranasal delivery: An approach to bypass the blood brain

Intranasal insulin delivery has been widely investigated as an alternative to subcutaneous injection for the treatment of diabetes. The pharmacokinetic profile of intranasal insulin is similar to that obtained by intravenous injection and, in contrast to subcutaneous insulin delivery, bears close resemblance to the `pulsatile* pattern of endogenous insulin secretion during meal-times. The literature suggests that intranasal insulin therapy has considerable potential for controlling post-prandial hyperglycaemia in the treatment of both IDDM and NIDDM. However, effective insulin absorption via the nasal route is unlikely without employing the help of absorption enhancers or promoters which are able to modulate nasal epithelial permeability to insulin and/or prolong the residence time of the drug formulation in the nasal cavity. This article discusses the structure and function of the nasal cavity, the barriers which prevent nasal insulin absorption and through the use of absorption enhancers or promoters methods by which these barriers may be overcome.

mnay pharmacutical companies are trying to make another ways to deliver insulin, particulary transdermal and intrnsal delivery:

aparently bile salts and surfactants mix are used in the insulin intranasal delivery.

BC did you find anything.

im thinking about using MDHT intransal for fast delivery. im hoping for an aggressive psychotic rush pre-workout

I wonder what the laureth-9 was dissolved in in the first study. I'd imagine ad or FS would not be the most likely candidates, both in terms of dissolving laureth-9 or keeping protein molecules intact for storage.

Most of the information that was posted concerned androgens. that information is perfectly applicable to MDHT delivery.

i think that might be sweet. i think the general consensus is that nasal cyclo delivery is great for pre-workout boost (which is how the east germans, etc. used it) but not enough area in the nasal mucosa to get much of an anabolic effect. even if you try to spray on the hour, every hour, it might be a little difficult. at least that was the case with cyclo-4-ad. might be doable with cyclo-test or something. (since the 4-ad has less active component per mg and then there is the conversion factor). cyclo-4-ad had a great psychoactive effect, though.
