Hostel 2

Just throwing this out here, but I don't know if anyone here has seen the movie Hostel 2 yet. I just watch it last night and if it isn't NC-17 then I dont know what is. It is also 100 times worse than the first Hostel movie.

i thought it was pretty tame compared to the first hostel. Only one seen that I considered very gory and that was the bath part, other than that, there was much more torturing in the first one than in this one. I thought the second one was pretty bad with the plot and everything.

I just saw Hostel 2 yesterday. It was really bad. I was pretty disapointed. The first one was much better. Also I agree with you the first one had a lot more torture and gore. This one was just...well, blah!.

okay......

i guess i wont watch this in the theatrers.
I loved the first one. Its funny how when someone mentions this movie and how they liked it there are people who look at you like you are really sick in the head! I love watching movies that really fvck you up in that squishy lil thing you got in your head and force real thoughts to develop. its an artfrom. (maybe hostel is not the perfect example but you guys get the point)

I thought the first sucked personally. I heard the hype beforehand, but didn't find it that disturbing at all.

Thanks for the reviews of the second one.

Definitly tame compared to the first, really went more into the buisness which wasnt that bad but substantialy less gore than Hostel 1.

Overall not too bad but I did have one major grievence with it. The pool scene was primed for an awsome lesbian moment before the harsh torture scenes, and one kiss and she left... LUDACRIS!

Well the thing is, I hated how a good portion of the beginning of Hostel 2 was based on reintroduction of characters. The plot and body of the movie was really sloppy in my opinion. I suppose looking back on it, the gore is comparable to the first one, but other than the online type bidding, the movie lacked any type of real entertainment.

I was extremely disappointed with the sequel as well, although most of the violence in the original was implied, they sold the audience on the fact that this one was "more Hostel than Hostel," when really the gore was minimal and unoriginal at best. The characters were much less relatable and annoying IMO, and the ending was so completely forseeable since they continually reinforced the main characters background. I was happier not knowing anything about the organization since it wrapped the gore with a nice sense of mystery in the original. Eli Roth keeps bashing the bootleggers for getting a workprint of the film and putting it online and selling it on the streets, but the truth of the matter is the movie bombed because it was subpar.

I'm glad I didn't pay to see either one.. I've flushed more graphic and disturbing things than both films combined..

BPF, im kinda thrown off by that last statement. Are or were you a serial killer of some sort? what do you mean you flushed more graphic and disturbing things?

sergio olivia

youre like the 5th person to ask and the first i didnt say it was me to haha. Im gonna change it when i have time....its a sweet pic tho', pretty pimp

The first movie gets to you in that you could see that stuff really happening...but the sequel was a total disappointment.

The ad said "prepare yourself for one of the most shocking scenes in horror movie history".......

***Spoiler alert ******

....but all they did was get the prop that Marky Mark used in Boogie Nights and added a little blood......didn't do it for me...:wtf:
