Homemade transdermal formestane

It seems impossible to find TD formestane, but the oral version is readily available. I have Formestane from Fusion Supplements and the only filler is corn starch. As formestane is insoluble in water or ethanol, I'm considering 2 options:

  1. Ethyl acetate: so far it seems to work, later I will report the yield. I don't know the solubility in ethyl acetate, but around 100 ml could be fine for extracting a whole bottle (4.5 grams). The only issue is evaporating all that amount later. EDIT: yield around just 50% but this was a test with a little amount a no vacuum filtration, which is mandatory.
  2. DMSO: formestane is soluble in DMSO (57 mg/ml), but DMSO has an high boiling point. Perhaps adding water will "break" the solution and the formestane precipitates. I have to test this. EDIT: Yes, it works and seems to be the easier way.
For the carrier Iron Legion Salvo seems to be the best option, but I don't know about solubility. What's the concentration used for other steroids? How much liquid contains every Salvo bottle? Ideas for extracting formestane?

I think you would be better off getting pure formestane powder. I dont know if the corn starch is going to cause issues.

However aromasin is also a suicidal ai like formestane and also more effective, newer generation.

What else are you running (what do you need the ai for)? Some reps may chime in but allegedly there are some otc ai's that are promising.

I already have 2 bottles of formestane, so I wanted to try it. I don't know where to get raw formestane in Europe and don't wanna deal with customs.

I'm on the 10th week of 500 mg Test E weekly plus 250 IU HCG E4D. 100 mg of oral formestane and 25 mg Proviron (ED) did the trick until 2 weeks ago. My pubertal gyno started to hurt, and upping the formestane to 150 mg did nothing. I added 1 cap of Alchemy daily and now it's under control. This is my first test cycle, now I know I need a better AI for future cycles.

Get nolva asap.

as far as for the future, try to acquire aromasin or arimidex. Or you can try megadosing oral formestane.

Td absorption sucks also anyways.
 
I have nolva, but at the moment I'm doing fine without it, I don't wanna kill any gains. I also like the fact that formestane converts to 4-OH-test, but it's impossible to get decent levels in a cost effective way.

Formestane (TD) was one of my favorites. (Although not the strongest AI, by far).
How are you planning to separate the fillers?

I've been playing with small amounts, and DMSO seems to be the most convenient solvent if the filler is just corn starch. Dump all the powder, add 1 ml DMSO for every 55 mg of formestane and stir well. Then filter the slurry with vacuum filtration (without vaccum, yields suck), and wash the slurry again with a little DMSO. Then add water to the yellowish DMSO solution (1:1 by volume works but you can add more water): the solution turns cloudy and formestane precipitates. Cool it, filter with vacuum again, wash with a little cold water and the white powder should be fairly pure formestane.

Hmm.
I never would have tried making a TD with fillers in the mix. Let us know how it goes!

try telling the guys who actually used td formesane that it's absorption sucked!!! cause obviously you never used it for you to make a statement like that...if I could bring back one banned supplement td formestane would be my choice, I loved that stuff!!!

Banned? There are oral formestane products in europe. I dont see why would td be banned and oral not.

also i dont see a rrason why they developed an oral instead of transdermal.

originally i also wanted to buy formeron which was supposed to come out again in europe. Went with aromasin as formeron never came out.
Could get my hands on raw formestane powder but not worth it considering the price of aromasin, mine is pfizer's.

the mood enhancement and libido were 'almost' as good as when I ran trest, but without the sides...I got leaner in stomach and fatter in Johnson-what I call a winner.
 
I don't know why there's no TD formestane in the market right now. It's not banned, so maybe eventually one company decides to launch a TD product. Compared to exemestane, oral formestane is more expensive.

I get mood enhancement from aromasin too, up to the point of course.

i believe it has to do with t:e2 ratio and free t levels,

i tried to stay away from ai's but i dont feel right without one. I start feeling off, weak mentally, on higher than trt doses.

But if i run masteron with test and test is not much higher than i feel fine without ai.
 
Anyone can provide advice about the transdermal carrier? I hope there's a cheaper alternative to Salvo.
I realized that Hexadrone is in the same league that Formestane: only available in capsules.

bulk nutrition back when mike owned it had great powders...including 6oxo. used to make up a bunch of homebrews!!!

dermabolic….it was same carrier as e-form...but I doubt it is around any longer-pretty sure it was the house brand at bulk nutrition.

Salvo comes in 30ml bottles? What's the usual concentration people put in it? I believe Salvo is the best carrier for base steroids, but it can get expensive. Phlojel ultra seems cheaper, but not readily available in Europe. I have trouble finding cheap alternatives.

3 to 5gms, with 5 being the max I would put in....using my code helps with the cost and makes the salvo very reasonable, imo.

I remember Patrick Arnold sold a topical fat loss product back in 2004-ish that had 6-OXO in it. Was trying to find the name of it and couldn't find it but found this post by PA:

"yeah, i am a few weeks away from selling a topical fat loss formula that has 6-OXO as one of the ingredients. Its especially good for burning that ugly estrogenic fat on your chest"

Ergopharm Skulpt was the name of the product.

I remember because in 2003-4 I was working at a GNC that sold it. Twin Labs also made a protein powder called "Andro Nitrate3 Fuel" that had 1AD and 4AD in it and they gave our store a ton samples to give out. True story! Haha

I think Patrick Arnold went lite on the 6oxo in skulpt, it sucked. plus it stained clothes really bad-in my opinion it was a bust..

possibly, I would need to try before confirming-but the bar is very low compared to skulpt. would have liked to seen resveratrol included, but oh well.

btw-the most comprehensive study on 6oxo showed it did very little in way of estrogen reduction, but scored fairly high on testosterone boost.

Haha...quite possibly.

Even though it had 6-oxo and formestane, reviews for Skulpt were not that great as thebigt mentioned. It stained skin, and caused burning at the application site etc.

I think one of the most interesting potential applications for this would be as an anti-gyno agent since it increases DHT. DHT cream used to be easy to get from that pharmacy in Cyprus that everyone knew about, but it's been dried up for a while now. Aside from epiandrosterone, creatine, and test cream on the scrotum there aren't many other options to boost DHT.

I know everyone rec's ralox or AI's etc. but I hate the sides of AI's and chasing my E2 around. And SERM's all intensify my fragrance sensitivity (to where basically all air fresheners/perfume etc. gives me a debilitating headache). I much prefer introducing additional androgens vs the alternatives and am convinced that none do as good of a job in this regard as actual DHT.

But anyways, that's why I want some. =D

Yeah that’s pretty common. A lot of AIs don’t actually decrease estrogen. It makes perfect sense if you think about it. Your body would see the low E, and pump out more enzyme and more substrate. More T, E stays roughly the same.

Actually, a lot of AIs reduce aromatase levels. I think it's just a matter of having more test in your system to convert to estrogen.
 
I felt a distinct boost from 6 bromo. Now, was that from negative feedback loop and more natty test or from conversion to a steroid, i dont know.

Yeah I didn’t really clarify that well. Obviously letrozole, for example, will lower levels significantly. But I’m pretty sure the body will manufacture more aromatase, but obviously the AI is still floating around trying to deactivate. It’ll of course depend on the compound and dose.
