Homemade pre w/o...comments/suggestions?

I ordered a few things in bulk that I plan to mix into my own pre w/o concoction. Some of the ingredients I've never used before and some I have. So it's going to be an experiment, not only because of the ingredients but also because of the amounts of each. After researching doses, this is what I've come up with:

(note: dosages might be on the low side, but if they seem too low, please say something!)

Chocamine 500 mg
Citrulline Malate 5 g
Creatine Monohydrate 5 g
ALCAR 500 mg
Beta Alanine 2 g
Histidine 2 g (not realy sure the ratio of Beta Alanine/Histidine)
L-Tyrosine 1000 g
Taurine 3 g

Then during my workout:
Glutamine 5 g
BCAA 5 g

Not really sure how the pre w/o is going to taste but that's not really a huge concern. If anyone has any input, that would be awesome. Thanks guys!

(PS you can go ahead and suggest any arginine products for pumps/vascularity but that's really not that important to me either)
 
I think that looks pretty good. You may want to up the tyrosine, but that is up to you. Maybe add some caffine. I also do a serving of excell.
 
I would definitly throw in some AEE. I responded decently to NO products (Nitrix, Superpump, bulk A-AKG) but responded UNBELIEVABLY to AEE. It's not expensive either.

Everything else looks pretty good too!

It's probably not going to taste great and be a little grainy because of how much is in your current mix. I find it much easier to split big mixes into two separate smaller drinks and heavily flavor it.

I'll look into adding more Tyrosine. Thanks! I'm hoping I won't need caffeine since a few of those ingredients are supposed to help with energy boost and mind focusing. If they can't get the job done, then I know of some pretty strong green tea pills that will definitely help in that department. I mean, I can't go wrong with adding in some caffeine and EGCG, right? The excell will be taken care of with some bulk glutamine and bulk bcaa during the workout.

Yeah I was thinking about adding some arginine supp too. But since I'll be starting a bulking phase when I start using this mix I doubt I'll be seeing as much vascularity as I progress. If I get bored with it and have a few bucks to spend with my next purchase, maybe I'll pick some up to add to the mix. We'll see how the flavor goes too...I might just have to pinch the nose and down the hatch! Thanks for the help.

Yeah I hear you on that brother. I myself don't have much vascularity but the AEE helps to an extent. Personally I like AEE because I feel the enhanced blood flow helps flood more nutrients, although I haven't seen particular studies that prove that, it just make sense to me.

It also helps me recover much faster during intense training phases. As much as I like it, it's no staple in my supplement regimen but rather an occassional addition to my supplement arsenal.

Anyway, your pre-workout drink looks pretty complete, post back and us know it goes! (taste, performance, mixability etc.)

I'll bet that you don't get much of an energy boost, persay, from that stuff. More of a mental focus boost kind of deal, it's hard to explain. I used a pretty much identical stack and I added caffine to it and it really did make a difference. Caffine anyhydros is cheap anyway, you can get 100g for $4 and you only need to use 100-200mg at the most. You could also add DMAE as well.

As far as the flavor, I've had luck with the single serving crystal light packets, or you could look into the flavor systems they have at NP.

I'm goin to keep a log of my upcoming bulking phase so there will definitely be some comments about the pre w/o supps I use. I also have some samples of other pre w/o supps that I will try out now and then. I'll be doing JW and Powerfull too so that's what the basis of the log will be about. I'll be sure to keep track of everything though.

I'll probably add some caffeine in then. It probably wouldn't hurt. I don't know anything about DMAE so I'll look into that before I start making my concoction. And if it gets to be unbearable, as far as taste goes, then I'll probably use some Crystal Light mix. I'll be sure to comment about that though when I keep my log.

Are you saying add more bcaas throughout my workout? Or in the pre w/o mix? I will no doubt be using bcaas throughout my day also.

Just be careful how much caffine you use. The kind I have is like 800mg in 1/4 tsp which is equivalent to like 8 cups of coffee. I try to use about half of 1/8 tsp for around 200mg.
 
yeah I've been using two green tea caps that total to 160 mg of natural caffeine and that will give me a pretty good kick in the pants. so I might just stick with those, since the EGCG will be nice too.
 
I don't know if I'd be a such a fan of Mono in a pre-workout mix. Perhaps CEE or some sort of creatine salt.
 
I've had success with mono in the past (usually by supplementing twice a day; once before lifting). I've been using kre-alkalyn for awhile, but that hasn't done as much for me. So I decided to get back to the tried and true method. I just bought a kilo of mono so I'm gonna use it.

I would like to try CEE some day so if this mix seems to work out for me, then when I run out of my mono I'll try using CEE instead. I had thought about trying CEE but since alot of these ingredients are going to be new to me already I figured I should keep a few things that I already know I'm going to get results from.

That'll be on my list of things to try out still...Thanks for the input tho.
 
Agreed, looks like a good stack.

Some BCAA's for sure if you've got the dough. They will provide me majority of the gains from the stack, IMO.
 
Yeah, I've gotten some great results from mega-dosing bcaas. I'm going to have some bcaas and glutamine throughout my w/o and whenever I need it during the day/night. But I'm hoping my gains will come mostly from the month of JW, followed by a month of JW + Powerfull, then a month of Powerfull! :head:
