Home routine with no equipment

So this is for a friend. He wants to workout at home. He said he was going to do V Shred and I told him hold off on that, make that very last resort.

So he has no equipment at all but if he needs DBs or Kettlebells or bands he can buy some that’s not an issue. So can any body recommend a really good routine for the basics at home just using some DBs and Kettlebells. He don’t mind paying a fair cost for a good routine. If you know any great free routines that would be great as well

thanks

Not a fan of all his stuff but the Kinobody bodyweight mastery may be a viable option. It was made to give people an option during lockdowns. He does have some decent progressions on movements like push-ups and handstand push-ups. One could likely expect to put on some good tissue if they did this was the addition of a pull-up bar, weight belt to add weight to chins, and some adjustable DBs for accessory stuff. Working up to sets of one arm push-ups on the ground and feet elevated, handstand pushups with bars for more depth and feet on wall, and weighted chins would likely put together a good base for chest, delts, and back. I can personally attest to these higher level progressions. Then some adjustable DBs for things like curls, extensions, and shoulder raises. Could get some bands from EliteFTS to have some options to load up some shrugs and goodmornings. Sissy squats and pistols are not a bad place to start for quads, can add weight from the DBs a little too, but legs will be the hardest part to train with minimal options.

Thing is I have asked and offered the guy to train some weekends with me and a friend. But he’s lazy. He don’t wanna leave and do anything. He also has no clue on how to work out at all. He was honestly like After work I dnt wanna go to a gym I wanna just do some quick stuff at home. And said weekends he wants to be with his daughter she’s 3. So I could give him a routine myself but I’m not sure he’d listen and would rather just have an app with somebody showing him and telling him what to do.

I would then even more suggest the Kinobody bodyweight mastery. It is a more minimal routine, 3 days a week, most sessions should be like 45-60min. Everything is laid out with sets, reps, and progressions. While not a research optimal routine IMO, sounds like something he may actually do and stick with.

How about getting an adjustable weighted vest? Your buddy can do push ups, pull ups, dips, squats, weighted sit ups etc with them.
