Hip abduction/adduction

Are hip abduction and adduction exercises beneficial for kicking? My hip flexibility is already quite poor, but my working these muscles using machines, will my flexibility suffer?
 
It won't make it worse, but you'll need to address the hip flexibility. Easiest way: buy a foam roller and do some yoga.
 
This has saved my hips. start doing this before lower body sessions or in the mornings etc. only takes a few minutes.
