Just started out doing HIIT on the treadmill and was curious if any of you do a normal cardio session as well.
From what I have been gathering doing HIIT 3 times a week is a good idea. But with that said, do you guys still do any regular/light cardio..running, biking swimming etc etc on the off day?
Today was my first HIIT and during the workout, pushed it but not to maximum intensity...just learning so was more trying to learn the workout. After-wards breathing pretty heavy and chest was sore for a good 20 minutes.
Felt good, but is that enough of a workout 20 min x 3 days a week for losing a few pounds? Or should I be adding even more cardio? I do do a regular weightlifting session as well 3 x a week.
