High LH Levels in males

Vitruvian

O.G. Appnut
Can someone help me out... I did a little research, but also looking for someone who knows this stuff to discuss:

What, if any, are the negative effects/side effects of increased LH in males? (both short term and long term)

Any input is appreciated. Thanks y'all.

I don't know of any short-term direct negative effects, but it is said that prolonged elevated levels of LH can cause the leydig cells in the testes (they create testosterone) to desensitize, or become less responsive to LH.

Its called primary hypogonadism or testicular failture wich cayses low testosterone.
Decrease in sex drive, low energy, iritability, are the common symptoms.

Theres afew others like clicking joints, muscle pain, headaches etc.

And in more severe cases testicular pain and gyno.

Primary hypogonadism can be a cause of high LH values, but the way the original question was stated, he asked about increased levels, so I assume this includes intentionally increasing LH (like with certain drugs).

I dont think there would be any noticable effects depending on how high it goes. Taking testosterone out of account, possibly increased muscle endurance and recovery if anything in the short term, and negatively LH desensitisation in the longterm.

Mass is on it,

I was wondering what kinds of short and long term negative side effects should be watched for when using a supplement that claims to increase LH.

I wouldnt recomend using anything that would raise LH unless it was used as post cycle therapy or if it was something like ZMA wich is an essential nutrient.

I cant find the page on google but I remember coming across some guy that was taking some herb wich doubled his LH, and it caused him testicular pain even after he had stopped using it, dont know how much credibility the thread had but either way, if you raise LH too much for too long you can induce primary hypogonadism through LH desensitisation.

Pretty sure they dont.
Nettle is ment to lower DHT, and Avena is ment to free up bound testosterone. Most herbs wich are ment to boost testosterone claim to do it via lowering shbg or estrogens.

Many of the current nettle extracts (standardized for divanillyltetrahydrofuran) are meant to lower SHBG, inturn raising free Testosterone levels. There are other herbals that claim to boost Testosterone via boosting LH, such as Tribulus, but I can't remember all the other products at the moment that claim that.
