Herder's 2014 Log: All About the XPC Semi's

They look cool, but I'll bet they're expensive and can't imagine that they add too much over what a DB would add.

That being said, I still want them.

We kicked around a lot of ideas. I think they're superior and effectively bridge the gap between dumbbells and kettlebells, but those both have a hundred years of tradition behind them, so it will be interesting to see how they catch on.

With the low impact week, I figured I'd see what I had today.

Nice work justin, 4 plates moved pretty good. There's a little left in there...

Thanks, Steve! I thought the same but decided to leave it for the platform. Need to get back to being faster off my chest and I had a problem keeping my scaps locked down today.

Awesome job Herder!!!

Awsome pr bud your strength is shooting up crazy fast

Yeah I just hopped on some trest and M14ADD to get ready for a meet Feb or March, I had heard it was pretty good, but damn I didn't realize it was that powerful. That and Cube Predator. And the pec tweaks kept me from displaying my gains. It's coming along nicely.

Thanks everyone. I feel very satisfied with this lift.

Light work man! Nice PR, you back to the wider grip here?

Yeah, pinkie on ring here. Used to be ring on ring, but I've been doing so well I decided to stick with this. Pec feels 95% healthy. Arms were 90% pain free too.

Woohoo!!! Awesome job!!!! :)

Yay 4pps. Very nice man.

X Wives being delivered today! Got 4 of em instead of 5.

Going rate for steel?

I dunno the rate, bud. But I do know the right people. ;)

Gonna have my dad turn them on the lathe to put those nice bullnose handles on the ends, then we're golden. Edit: gotta wire brush the thing too. Or what would you use to knock the gunk off of those puppies?

What are those?

What are those?

They are steel bars five inches in diameter and 24 inches long. They are for Body Tempering, which is like foam rolling x1000. Myofascial release, stressing the tissues causing them to be not only more pliable but stronger too. The tremendous weight smashes muscle, nerves, and circulatory tissue ungluing them from each other and revitalizing them. When we have acute issues at the compound we leave the x wife stationary for five minutes and in two days, the area is like new. I've used it with success on my strained pec and also strained spinal ligaments. It might sound hokey, but I've seen it And felt it for myself.

Your dad could sand it on the lathe. Or you could gently hit them manually(particularly real bad spots), and then whipe them down with some lacquer and hit with some primer. Then they are all ready for the powder coating.

I wish I had the resources to try that.

Ugh, powder coated x wife would be rough, buddy. The only one that gets powder coated is the stepchild. The x wife does a good job of grabbing tissue just from sheer weight. It's smooth, just coated in rust. Maybe some WD and rags to start? I do love the idea of sanding it on the lathe. Take a one hour job and turn it into a one minute job.

I didn't realize that one doesn't get powdered lol. Well just skip that part. And yea if he can take the time it would make it super easy. If not, as long as you get the worst spots and prime it you should be good to go.

U could use a sanding pad on a grinder that's how we clean most things on the job just requires a light hand

Herder is too strong for that. It would go from round to like an octagon or something with flat edges. Derp DMax

:D

Not an easy thing to google.... lol.

Lol. I used a dremel multi tool sanding attachment. Worked pretty well, then I cleaned off the dust with WD40 and hit it again with the sander after. It's pretty close to good. Still a little dirty, I will probably have to seal it with something.

No I tried it for a while but sucked so quit
Along with billiards, archery and paintball
I've been a man in search of a hobby his whole life pretty much

I'm a x bowler myself. Long family line of bowlers. I was just surprised to see the bowling wax line drop.

My fathers side were big into bowling before I was born we owned an ally in town and everything my dad would bowl everyday after school even got in the local paper for bowling a 300 at the age of 14
