Herder's 2014 Log: All About the XPC Semi's

What I like about using the x wife is the passiveness. When rolling on a foam roller you aren't getting near that much force and its more flexible, but more importantly your holding your body up and have muscle tension opposing the force of the weight. It's similar to passive stretching I guess. Like passive myofascial release and mashing. Cool idea.

Stepped on the scale this morning and it said 227. Sonofabitch, 220 class here I come. I was planning on being like 233. This is too close.

Do it, it's so close and easy cut

Hopefully it's easy! I have one more hour I can spend in the tub. Then idk how I'm gonna cut in the car besides spitting a dip. Luckily quick cuts are the easiest to recover from.

Lost a pound and a half in one hour from the cinnamon bath (Just trying something) Epsom salts are way more effective. Evening weigh ins close at 7pm. Five hours to lose 6.5lbs. I'll hit up the Epsom salts when I get to the hotel. Easy rehydrate, I'm just worried about how I'm going to lose weight in the truck.

I ended up putting on 3 pair of wool socks, long underwear, Two pair of sweats, a garbage bag, three thermal tops, two sweatshirts, and two beanies. Just hit up 15min of sprintervals on an elliptical waiting for the last teammate. Should be dangerously close, creeping up on two hours in the sweat suit.

Scale was at least five pounds heavy. I weighed in at 228

Nevermind I saw the post where she is your friend
I always run into her at meets but never spoke to her, great deadlifter

She's a hell of a lifter, man. Works damn hard every day but just happens to be born to pull.

Thanks guys! Great day.

540 smoke
570 smoke
600 smoke

Yeah I said it..

How long it take u to get to 600# from 500

21 months. The improvement in technique and strength is hard to explain. It's simply massive. I learned more going from 500 to 600 than I did getting to 500.

Insane and awesome!!!!

Shoot, DMax, I probably learned more going from 550 to 600 than I did getting to 550. Which took a year of dedicated powerlifting training. I had to optimize and refine my technique a lot this year and put squats on the backburner and aim them toward my deadlift.

This what I've read over and over. Hell, I got to 500 in 6 months of dedicated training. But 600 seems like a different planet

It becomes mental when you see that extra plate. Using chains to work up to bigger too end weight helps you to get used to the feeling and eventually moving past that mental hurdle.

Exactly what Rodja said. It's all in the mind. If you had asked me last night to look into my crystal ball and ask how much I will pull at my very peak, I would have said 630-650. Now, I'm scheming toward doing that next year.

The rev limiter in this game is the mind more often than not, even for people who don't turn into headcases at meets.

Definitely. I still feel a bit anxious when I see the 4th plate on there. So dumb haha

Oh, I definitely didn't look at the plates today. Lol.

Nice Herder! You and Sean both getting PRs in your toughest lifts, congrats man!

Thanks, buddy. Looks like I'm not going to be able to complain about pulls for much longer, they're turning into one of my best lifts!

Off to the compound to brag about my monster deadlift lolol.

Where's the vid?

Arent you the raw black sheep? :D

I am the raw beeyotch. Next time it comes up, I'm going to tell him that I'm a raw powerlifter, therefore the internet says I'm a better person than him. That will totally get him fired up.
