Help with supplements

I'm a 16 year old kid that is looking to get stronger with the help of supplements. I play football so getting into the weight room isn't a problem. Just wondering what supplements could speed it up because as you can see I'm pretty weak if you look at my specs. I was looking at igh-2 and hghup. What do you guys think if i want to gain weight and strength?

Dude theres no magic pill or supp you can take that is going to boost you up that quick. Nitrox is right, if you have diet and training right and get your eight hours, there should be no problem with weight and strength

At 16, supplements would pretty much be a waste for you bro.

Like was said earlier, gym, food, rest.

Eat a LOT, more than you ever have. Workout hard with higher weight and lower reps. What do your workouts look like right now? Hard to give specific info with only knowing your height/weight :)

I do highly suggest staying away from supps other than maybe a protein shake or gainer.

Ok I got my coffee in hand so I can type a bit.

I remember being a teen and walking in the supp shop and being like a kid in a candy store. 'Oooh, look at the stuff behind the glass doors, that must be really good.'

Nope. Most of it is overpriced BS. Especially when you are a kid with limited income. Trust me save your money; wish I had. Take a girl out, put it in a college fund, or buy an iPod or a digital food scale (see below).

If you want to build something, whether it is muscle or a house, you need materials and labour (energy). For muscle it is protein and calories. Your body will limit growth to what is available at that time. Google 'law of conservation of energy' or ask your science teacher about it - some fundamental physics that is very applicable to bodyweight management.

so here's what you do:

- Goto a site like Invalid Link Removed fill out the fields to get your daily maintenance calories. If your goal is to gain muscle/strength add 20% to this, if you want to lose fat subtract 20% (this amount is about 500 calories). This is your target.

- Goto a site like fitday.com or the USDA nutrient database (need to use your own spreadsheet for USDA) and make up a diet of 6-8 meals at your target calories. Protein should be 30-40%, carbs and fats should be at least 20% each (you choose). 33% for P, C, and F is a good start.

- Use a digital food scale and measuring cups to follow your plan.

On a 'western' diet is it really easy to be off by 500 calories per day. This is why you have to measure. If you dont get your extra 500 on a day, you have lost that day's potential growth. Yeah you get another one tomorrow but you are now a day behind and bodybuilding/strength training is a marathon not a sprint.

Lastly, this board has been up for 8 years and there is a lot of cumulative knowledge here. Search is your friend :fing02:

best supplement for strength other than juice is Prime. run it at 69 protocol and ur bench will go up at least 20 pounds

You got a lot of test in your body, use that. If anything, get a sam's club membership, stock up on food and get a good diet plan going. Gain some muscle naturally screw supplements. Supplements supplement what you already have in place.

the only supps you should be on right now is
Protein, just incase you need to go somewhere and dont have time to sit down and eat a full meal.
and creatine. 10$ for about 100g and its a proven supplement
thats all you should be taking test booster will not do anything for you right now.
pretty much when your younger its the best and the most hardest time for you.
its the best because you can build so much muscle in a short amount of time compared to the older people.
its the hardest because theres so many different supps out there that you want to try and get ahold of but most of them wont do jack for you.

I would stick with protein + creatine at this point.

You can **** around with some of the preworkout NO supplements for fun if you want but I feel like they are mostly just overpriced crap, and you would do better to spend the extra money on more food.

honestly I think you should never bother with supplements. Why pay $50 for some "natty" test booster that may or may not work when you could get a cycle of test + ancillaries for 150 and see some real results. I understand going completely natural, but if you are at the point where you want to alter your hormone levels then gear is probably safer and definately a more cost effective choice.

Either way, dont try to alter your hormones with drugs, legal or not, untill you are atleast sure that you are done growing taller and wider. No sense closing growth plates early if it can be avoided.
