I just got my pct in the mail. The box says tamoxi 20, each tablet contains 20 mg tamoxifen (as citrate). Will it take 15mg of this to equal 10mg of nolva?
I just got my post cycle therapy in the mail. The box says tamoxi 20, each tablet contains 20 mg tamoxifen (as citrate). Will it take 15mg of this to equal 10mg of nolva?
No, my guess is it's dosed like nolva. nolva contains the equivalent dosis of 10 or 20mg tamoxifen in the form of tamoxifen citrate (the prescribing information tells you that it's 15.2 or 30.4 mg tamoxifen citrate).
So if you have a real generic and it says 10 mg tamoxifen, then it should be 10 mg tamoxifen (in the form of tamoxifen citrate). If it says 10mg tamoxifen citrate, then you have to use 1 1/2 tablets.
I tend to agree with Rocket. A pharma company would have to advertise the corrected amount, unless they indicate otherwise, or be open to false advertising laws.
