Help with diet

I had lap-ban which is going great. Know I found out I have a pituitary issue so I'm on testosterone ( TRT ). What would be a great diet that will let me gain muscle

Ya pretty much. But I'm going to assume you had an obesity issue with the lap band thing. I would try doing some general research and use IIFYM calculator to get your TDEE BMR and go from there to cut maintain or bulk. Personally, I like to eat a lot of protein. I weight 180 and eat 220g. Like to eat ~80g fat on a cut ~100g on a bulk. All just my preference. Takes a lot of time and effort to figure out what works for YOU best. Good luck bud
 
I'm 42 years young. down 105pound now. I'm 6feet tall & weighing 225 as of today. Hoping to still cut down more but gain muscle. with the TRT help trying to get the biggest bang I can get. My T shot is 2ml = 400mg cyp every 2weeks. Working out everyday
 
As far as bare-bones basics, start by doing as DBrock said and use an online calculator to get an approximation of your BMR. From there, you're going to want to add about 500 calories per day as a surplus. Distributing those nutrients among the three macro's (protein, carbphydrates, fats) is where individual preference and knowing your body come into play. While there are general guidelines, everybody's body responds differently. High protein (research I've seen leans towards 1.4-2g/kg bodyweight), moderate fat (necessary to maintain hormone balance), and fill the rest of your daily allotment with carbohydrates with the majority being consumed around your workouts.

I like a tweak on the Atkins for this. If I'm not doing any type of exercise, I keep my carbs as close to 0 as possible(typically being ~30) but still aim for a surplus. Days I lift, decide to do sprints, etc I will eat 50-80 carbs around an hour-90mins before the session and about 40 PWO.

Personal preference for dropping BF but adding LBM. If you want to put on as much mass as possible, that's a different story. Frank and Dbrock hit it perfectly.

Good morning to you as well! I pastor a Bible church. Non-denominational, but we are Baptist (shh...don't tell them). Haha! I'm Baptist as well. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
