I am going into my senior year of hs and have been the quarterback since my sophomore year. However i have never lifted as hard as i do now and camp starts in a week but i dont want to stop and lose all my gains. But i dont want to be sore for games and practices. Is there any suggestions of what i should do or what supplements would help recovery to an extreme level?

Bro your in high school, your recovery will never be at a higher level, just eat a lot of healthy food in good quantities

I'd recommend continuing lifting, but just decrease the volume so that you are working your muscles but also allowing yourself to recover faster. And make sure you eat a lot and get enough sleep.

Does your team not have lifting planned for in-season work?

The hope is to maintain what you worked hard for in the off-season, but not at the risk of compromising your on-field performance (that is what we are ultimately after). You should be able to get by with lowered volume, but still hitting the proper lifting.

That is all easy to say though, as I know many programs who seem to make that harder to do than it should be. Good luck in your season! I know the guys around here started today. :D

Reduce training volume and increase food intake. Your in your teens enjoy the naturally high testosterone and recovery that comes with it while it lasts
