Headbangers Ball

Is it just me or does anybody else miss this ****? Remember that classic picture of the fat guy getting hit with the cannon ball mtv used to play? The old school headbangers ball...that was the ****. They used to play all kinds of good **** on that. I can still hear the music in my head they played before they start the video........remember? the music they played while the fat guy was getting hit with the cannon ball.
 
i would love it if they came back, i use to stay up and get my metal fix all the time. yep im getting older i miss the 80's rock
 
I was a big fan of The Ball back in the day.

I thought I saw or heard something about it coming back on MTV, but with new bands obviously. No Ricky Rachtman either, I hated that guy.
 
Its on MTV2 every Sat night. They usually have guest hosts like Wayne Static, Rob Zombie and the singer from Hatebreed.

Its no where near as free form and random as it once was. Its pretty straight forward with vids, interviews and news with that fat, bald guy. I like watching it, they play some good ****.
 
they couldnt do it now; there's not a whole lot of good metal bands out there anymore...
although there are a couple i could think of; but not many of them are anything mainstream anymore (and anti-MTV too)
 
This isn't really metal but I figured I'd post here instead of starting a new thread.

Van Halen is back. The deal is done and Sammy Hagar is back. New album and tour for summer of '04. Unfortunately(depending on how you look at it) DLR will not be working with VH even though Sammy tried to get this to happen. The brothers want nothing to do with him. Possible addition of another guitarist, Steve Lukather. You heard it here first.
 
Jamey Jasta is the singer for Hatebreed.... damn good set of pipes on that boy.
