Half-Life of Cissus components

Just wondering what the half-life of cissus (the actives in it) is. Since it takes 1-2 weeks for it to kick in, that's saying to me that it would have a fairly long half-life to be built up 1-2 weeks before it becomes effective. I'm just a little curious about it since most people split up the dosages 2-4x per day, if it has such a long half-life, what's the reasoning behind splitting up the dosages?

I don't know the actual half life but I think it just takes time for results in the glucocorticoid system. The analgesic antiinflamatory properties seem to kick in pretty quickly for me.

Maybe Jacob or the Mullet have some data that would show preference to split dosing.
