so how long didnt you workout for. everyone you seem to type is very positive thats great if your that type of person ! getting good grades too good boy.

ill be following dude. hope the progress is good workouts remind me of college days.

Yeah. All of my workouts have been great since coming back from surgery. I had to take 6 weeks off...Pretty hard for me to do.

I feel like even if I had a bad workout, I can get something positive out of it. Just keep moving forward!

Week 3: Day 2

Today's Supplementation

AEN Steeledge - 1 Serving
AEN IntraXCell - 1 Serving
AEN Intrabolic - 1 Serving
Fish Oil
Vitamin Pack

Back

I used to hate training back for some reason...I LOVE it now. I've changed my mindset towards back: I used to just pile on the weight. Now, I need to feel it in my back and get a great contraction. Its made a big difference in how much I enjoy back training. I never used to get pumped lats/back, but now, I get them all the time. Very cool. Todays workout was pretty intense. Rest-Paused Pullups...Yeah. Brutal. Also did a couple different circuits consisting of supersetted exercises. Great stuff.

Strength
[*****]

Not a really high strength day per say, but strength is still on the rise. Pullups are going up while bulking, which is always a good sign for me. Gaining strength on pullups and gaining weight at the same time has always been a good benchmark for a correctly paced bulk (for me).

Stamina / Endurance
[*****]

I lifted with my brother today. He is 18 months older than me and a fair amount stronger. Anyways, he did more weight on pullups, but when it came to doing the supersets, I always killed him by 20 pounds on the second exercise. Made me feel great having to UP the weight after he used the machine/bar. He was like "what the f***" bryant...Needless to say, I had to tell him about intrabolic. Now he wants some for christmas. O brother...

Energy / Focus
[***--]

Nothing to great. I had to work until 1:30 last night and I didn't get very much sleep, so I was dead when workout time came. The steeledge definitely helped, but I just need more sleep. O well....I'll sleep tonight.

Pumps / Vascularity
[*****]

Crazy today...absolutely. My back and biceps were incredible pumped up...after the FIRST exercise. I went to the bathroom after training and admired the sight that was. My back is coming along very nicely. I'll have to get some update pics up in a couple of days.

Recovery
[*****]

Again, I felt great after the metabolic yesterday. No soreness at all.

Other Observations / Comments

The moment has come that I have been dreading for 2 weeks...laundry. I hate doing laundry, but I need to do a writeup and diet analysis for my nutrition class, so it will force me to do it. I have a ton of laundry to do and the only reason I am doing it is because I am out of underwear...Yeah.

Everything is going really well right now, so hopefully things continue this way!

Metabolic - Lower - HELL

I generally feel like I push myself in the gym, each and every time I go, but I have never pushed myself as hard as today. The workout was pure HELL. It got to the point that after my last set, my lungs and throat felt as if I had just gone running in really cold weather (if you know that feeling). Probably the single hardest and mentally challenging workout I have EVER done. All I have to say is...

I won't say exactly what it consisted of, but it was a heavy metabolic day, with 4 major compound exercises (squats included) for medium reps, all in a row. Ran through the cycle five times, with a minute and a half between each cycle. My heart rate must have been above 150 the entire workout.

Strength
[****-]

Certainly wasn't focusing on strength today, but what I did felt great.

Stamina / Endurance
[*****]

Gotta give this five stars. After the first set, I thought about dropping the weight I started with...I decided not to, and I stuck with the same weight for the entire cycle, for the same reps. YEAH! No pain, no gain baby!

Energy / Focus
[*****]

I had it absolutely dialed in tonight. I had to get really psyched up to blast through the workout like I did, and I felt great. Awesome energy and focus. Put the pantera on and I was ready to rock.

Pumps / Vascularity
[*****]

My legs were pumped like crazy...I actually had a quad vein coming out...cool.

Recovery
[*****]

Back feels great from yesterday. No soreness once again.

Other Observations / Comments

I'm a lucky man tonight, thats for sure. If I had eaten any closer to my workout, I probably would have blown chunks all over the place. I was close as it was! Must of done it right!

Everything is still rolling along nicely. Can't wait to see what I've got for tomorrow!

AEN Intrabolic - 1 Serving

Chest/Arms

What a welcome day after yesterday...I couldn't wait to get into the gym to train chest/arms. Again, a VERY good workout. Did some HEAVY DB Presses with some 75's. Nice to get back to some old numbers. Felt great to get those up! Also did some really slow eccentric work for higher reps. KILLED ME! I could feel my chest getting destroyed on the slow eccentrics.

Arms were great too. Definitely had some nice strength gains there too! Pretty nice jump in bicep work, but that could be because I was completely fresh bicep-wise. Still though, everything felt great today.

Strength
[****-]

Hard to compare to prior numbers, as I haven't really done these specific exercises for a little while. The weights definitely felt good though, and I did more than I expected to!

Stamina / Endurance
[*****]

Great here. I destroyed my chest and felt strong the entire time. Admittedly, triceps were a bit fried, but I still was able to go hard and heavy on the tricep work. Great workout and I blasted through it with short rest times.

Energy / Focus
[****-]

No Pre-WO products today, but Energy and Focus was high. After 6 hours of class today, I really wanted to get into the gym. I was looking forward to it all day, and didn't need any extra energy. I was flying around as it was.

Pumps / Vascularity
[*****]

My chest was incredibly pumped up today, as were my arms. Veins coming out all over the place...YEAH! Vascularity is great right now. Hopefully it continues to be this good as I put on weight. Right now, when I get pumped up, my forearms look freaky! I love it.

Recovery
[***--]

Legs....Legs....Legs....======PAIN! God, I can't believe how bad my legs would have been if I didn't have intrabolic. I honestly could barely sit down and walk around today. Lets just say...I LOVED LOVED LOVED it! I love these doms baby! Bring them on.

Other Observations / Comments

Got through the long and miserable Thursday. Three weeks from today and Thanksgiving break starts, which nearly marks the end of the semester for us. This semester has flown by, but I really can't wait for it to be over. I need some time off! O well, I'll push through!

Hmm, not sure what happened to my post. anyway, awesome log, really have enjoyed following along so far. Sounds like the stack is really working nicely for you :)

BTW,thank you for all your support for IntrAbolic and AEN in general. I have been seeing all your posts on various forums and we really appreciate you spreading the word. :)

Week 3: Day 5 + 6

Workout #10

Today's Supplementation

3 Caps RPM
AEN IntraXCell - 1 Serving
AEN Intrabolic - 1 Serving
Fish Oil
Vitamin Pack

Big Back Baby!

Heath sent me over a great back workout for today (I guess yesterday now). Got some nice supersets in and a good deal of volume. Definitely had a great pump going and I really enjoyed the workout.

Strength
[*****]

Did some rack pullups today. Add reps + weight since the last time I did them. Everything else was spot on too. Nice weight increases all around. Even did some rest-paused sets, that were pretty high in weight.

Rack pullups are becoming a favorite exercise of mine. The full motion + contraction of the lats, with the stretch at the bottom feels great.

Stamina / Endurance
[*****]

As usual. Pretty nice in this department. Definitely felt strong throughout the workout. Even at the end, I was beating numbers from three weeks ago, in exercises that I was doing fres or near the start of my workout.

Energy / Focus
[*****]

I was zoned in today - I love RPM for focus. I really needed it after class + work this morning + more work from 10-Now. Just popped some RPM, threw some songs I wrote on my Ipod and rocked out to them. Plus, I was wearing a cut-off....sothat was motivating in and of itself:bb3:

Pumps / Vascularity
[****-]

Great pumps as usual. Forearms and Biceps had some scary veins running around. I felt very full. Actually, near the end of the workout, my forearms were incredibly pumped. So much so that I had trouble gripping the bar on some things...YEAH!

Recovery
[***--]

Chest Feels great. Legs made HUGE improvements from yesterday to today. Still sore though. Tomorrow they should be fine again.

Other Observations / Comments

As usual lately, I have nothing to complain about. Everything is going swimmingly. Strength gains are there. Size gains are coming along slowly, which are usually the best kind, as they stick and are lean.

I'm loving the Intrabolic, really solid stuff from AEN.

I'm loving Heath's training + diet he has me on. Energy + strength + just the generally "healthy" feeling are all GREAT.

So I guess...I'm loving life right now. Not too bad!

Upper Metabolic

I cursed heath today. GREAT workout. Circuit of 9 exercises working the entire upper body. Went through it three times and was toast when I finished. Absolutely great session.

Strength
[*****]

Even within the circuit, I managed to hit some PR's, on both Push Presses and Flat DB Presses. Now THAT is sick. Everything felt great today. The world better watch out!

Stamina / Endurance
[****-]

Definitely good endurance. I was absolutely done by the end though, and the last circuit was HARD. I refused to lower the weights though, so I definitely pushed through the last round. Muscular endurance was definitely there, but I was breathing so damn hard by the end of the circuits, that I really had to concentrate and get it under control. Quite demanding...but fun as hell.

Energy / Focus
[*****]

Definitely in the zone today. I was flying around the gym with a great sense of purpose. Just tore it up today.

Pumps / Vascularity
[*****]

Great vascularity today. Pump was great. I even had a nice little vein running through my right shoulder. Haven't seen that sucker before.

Recovery
[****-]

Back felt great today, so I was able to hit it pretty good, along with the rest of my upper body which felt very fresh. Overall, recovery is solid right now.

Other Observations / Comments

Not too much else to note. Today I had a ton of energy, but that is probably because I slept in until 4 PM on saturday and still went to sleep at 2 AM on Sunday. I feel so damn refreshed right now. The push to Thanksgiving break is ON! Bring it!

I'm trying to get some pics today. Its a pain trying to get the lighting decent in my room, but I'll do the best I can. I seem to be progressing very well.

Song of the Day - Collective Soul - Shine

damn i better increase mine more! ;)

i did 125 last time..............but it was 4 sets of 8.

keep it up, dude!

hey you guys doing the push presses from a lockout bar position on a rack or like letting the bar rest on your shoulders, bend down and then with all your power push it up

^^^For sure. Plus, my it forces me to stabilize and work my abs too.

This is correct!! Lock out at the top full extension of the elbows and then right back down to the top of the shoulders then right back up! They are addicting!! Just make sure to be in control of the weight at all times, Concentrate on controlling the weight in the eccentric don’t just let it drop!

PICS PICS PICS!!!! PLEASE, let me know what you think. I think my back has made HUGE strides in 4 weeks.

CHEST!

Chest day today. Pretty simple, VERY effective. Used some super-setting and rest-pausing to pump up the intensity. Really a great workout. Short and sweet too. About 30 minutes worth of brutality.

Strength
[****-]

VERY VERY good. Did some different stuff today, so it is a bit hard to judge, but I set some PR's for sure. Very nice. Very confident on everything.

Stamina / Endurance
[****-]

Again, certainly good. Endurance was great during the rest-paused sets. I went all out for reps, rested 15 seconds, got the same number of reps, rested 15 seconds, and did it again....TWICE. Felt great, and I was really able to push out reps even when I thought I was burnt out.

Energy / Focus
[***-]

Kind of dragged around today. I should have taken something pre-wo, but I didn't think I needed it. I was tired, but had a great workout nonetheless. School is getting to me!

Pumps / Vascularity
[*****]

Five Stars here. I don't think my chest has EVER been so pumped. Felt GREAT. My triceps were fried and pumped by the end too.

Recovery
[****-]

Really great recovery from the metabolic yesterday. Chest felt fresh, even thought it got a little work yesterday.

Other Observations / Comments

I've got to say, great workout. I am actually already looking forward to tomorrow and the hellish metabolic lower body day that is planned. I need to mentally prepare myself starting NOW. Hell yeah!

Monday's are always good days. Only one class is so very nice. Slept in, which was nice. Got some work done.

Another good day. Tomorrow should be great too!

Lower - Metabolic

A few notes from today's workout:

1.) nausea
2.) light-headedness
3.) Pain
4.) Running after doing lunges is so damn hard
5.) Jump squats are humbling, even with no weight

LASTLY-----------> I must be a masochist, because this definition fits me perfectly:

" A willingness or tendency to subject oneself to unpleasant or trying experiences."

Absolutely brutal and great workout. 6 separate Cycles. All of the same exercises, but the first three different from the last three, because the order of the exercises was flipped. Just pure pain all the way around. I nearly threw up...YEAH BABY!

Strength
[N/A]

I don't dare list strength. The weights were not anything special.

Stamina / Endurance
[*****]

Somehow managed to pump out six cycles, even though after 4 I thought I was toast. If there is a will, there is a way. I was always able to push myself a little further.

Energy / Focus
[****-]

Pretty zoned in today, which was good, because I needed it.

Pumps / Vascularity
[N/A]

Not really applicable here, but my legs were quite full.

Recovery
[****-]

Things are feeling good. Chest feels Great from yesterday. We will see how my legs feel tomorrow. That will be the true test.

Other Observations / Comments

Another wonderful lower metabolic day. It was great, in a very sick sort of way. Makes me really appreciate regular lifting days. DAMN.

Song of the Day - Rammstein - Du Hast

WEIGHT + MEASUREMENTS UPDATE!!!!!!!

Start:

Weight - 173.8
BF% - 10-12
Height - 6'0"
Chest - 37 Inches
Waist - 31.2 Inches
Biceps (Flexed) - 13.75 Inches

TODAY:

Weight - 177 (+3.2)
Chest - 37.5 (+.5 Inches)
Waist - 31.2 I(No Change)
Biceps (Flexed) - 14 Inches (+.25)

Pretty nice so far. Gains are certainly there. Perfect pace for me too.

Mace this was not the same one you had much much worse!!!

Dont worry you will see this 1 sometime!!!

Because people have been asking me about the metabolic workouts, Heath gave me a go to post the one I did a week ago, that I thought was brutal:

Metabolic Lower
Cycle Length-5 cycles
Rest Between-1:30-1:45

Cycle 1-5

(NO rest in between these exercises)

Stiff leg Dead lifts-8 reps
Bb Squats-8 Reps
Bulgarian Squats-8 reps each leg
Plyo Jump squats- 10 reps

Calves 3 cycles
Standing calf raises-10
Seated 5(HEAVY SLOW)

Looks simple...huh? I would love to see someone run through this and let me know how it goes. I did as much weight as possible for each set, so don't wuss out on the weights baby. Pile it on!

The first run through might seem okay, but 3-5 will test you. Try it and let heath and I know what you think!

Week 4: Day 3

Workout #14

Today's Supplementation

AEN IntraXCell - 1 Serving
AEN Intrabolic - 1 Serving
Fish Oil
Vitamin Pack

Shoulders and Arms

Strength
[*****]

More PR's...same old same old. Added 5 pounds onto the push press. Did a couple brand new exercises today for rear-delts, but felt very strong on both. Medial delts got it hard too with 1/2 rep stuff supersetted with laterals. Very happy all the way around.

Stamina / Endurance
[*****]

Again, Incredibly solid. Punished my shoulders and still managed to get some PR's on arms. No supersets for arms, but I got some rest-paused sets in, which were great. I am noticing much improved endurance all the way around. It is particularly evident in smaller bodyparts (arms for example) that tend to fatigue quicker than the rest of my body. I feel like I can't be stopped during my workout and that I could go all damn day! Pretty nice if you ask me.

Energy / Focus
[*****]

Once again, definitely felt AMAZING today. No idea why, but things just felt good all the way around. Energy was as good as ever too. I really didn't sleep that well last night either...weird. I went into the gym, cranked some music I wrote (rock/metal) and just kicked some ass.

Pumps / Vascularity
[*****]

I've given this five stars a couple days, but today was something else. Even after the first exercise, my shoulders were incredibly pumped. By the time I got to arms, they were already full as hell. After I finished arms, I had to do all I could to not stand in front of the mirror and stare at the veins. HELL YES.

Recovery
[****-]

Legs are feeling very very good. Much better than last week.

Other Observations / Comments

Damn. Great workout. Great day. Tomorrow is Friday and I've got Chest/Back, probably my favorite grouping of exercises. GOD, I love the gym.

I've been really full throughout the past couple days. Nutrition is dialed in. I also seem to be holding less water in the midsection area over the past five days. Not sure what thats about, but I'm looking good, so I can't complain.

Just a quick little blurb about Intrabolic. I highly suggest that everyone give this stuff a shot. We all know how good Beta Alanine is, but the synergy between the ingredients in IB make it a damn good supplement. The best Intra-Workout supplement on the market. By far.

AEN IntraXCell - 1 Serving
AEN Intrabolic - 1 Serving
Fish Oil

Chest and Back

Strength
[*****]

Definitely great strength today. Really great numbers compared to the last time I did some of these. Added weight to pullups. Bench numbers were up for weight and reps. I am quite pleased with my strength right now. Hopefully it keeps going in this direction.

Stamina / Endurance
[*****]

Good again. Rest between back/chest exercises was short, and I was able to get a great sweat going. Endurance was really good though. Hit maximum weights set after set and still felt fresh for each consecutive one.

Energy / Focus
[*****]

Zoned in again today. The weekend will do that though. No worries of school = domination in the gym. HELL YES. One more full week of school and then THANKSGIVING BABY! Can't wait.

Pumps / Vascularity
[*****]

It really isn't fair. vascularity is increasing as I gain weight...what? Yeah. Pumps are off the charts too. Loving every minute of it.

Recovery
[***-]

I feel good. Shoulders were a little tired today though, which might have had a bit of an effect on the pressing today. Still, pretty good recovery.

Other Observations / Comments

Everything continues to go well. I've got to write a paper tonight...yuck. Philosophy and Star Trek is the class. Pretty easy papers, just need to make myself do it. Then, I've got a ton of studying to do this weekend for a health care econ test next week.

Other than that, I'll just be chilling out this weekend, enjoying life. Yeah!

Metabolic Upper

Absolutely AWESOME metabolic today. Every exercise was rest-paused. YEAH! Absolutely incredible workout. Hit everything.

Strength
[*****]

Rest-Paused sets were very strong. I would go as heavy as possible on the first set, rest 15, and then use the same weight for the same reps. Really dug down deep to get the strength, but I was always able to crank out the last couple reps. No Pr's today, but I certainly wasn't aiming for them. Incredibly solid stimulation of the muscles today...mind-muscle connection was CRAZY.

Stamina / Endurance
[*****]

No way in hell this isn't getting 5 stars. Great once again. I was supposed to rest 2:00 to 3:00 minutes in between rounds of the circuit, but I felt so great, I dropped it down to 1:30 and still managed to hit all of the weights I wanted to. I contemplated adding in another round because I felt so damn good, but I decided against it, as I have no idea what the plan for tomorrow is.

Energy / Focus
[*****]

I slept for 13 hours last night, so I felt GREAT today. However, I wanted to absolutely kill the workout, so I tried something new: 1/2 Scoop SE + 2 Caps of RPM....HOLY ****. Probably the best Pre-WO combo I have taken...ever. I wanted the focus from the RPM, but I wanted some carbs and other goodies from SE. Combined them and the results were awesome. Definitely will be using the combo again and I highly suggest someone else try it.

Pumps / Vascularity
[*****]

Wow. I was doing some curls to finish out each round and the veins were out like usual. Something NEW however came out. The separation between my bicep and tricep on the outside of my arms was sweet. I hadn't really seen it before, but it is definitely something new. I was thrilled, because I have been working hard to create more noticeable separation on the outside, as it really makes the back double bicep pose MUCH better. Needless to say, just seeing that powered me through the grueling sets.

Recovery
[N/A-]

No workout yesterday, and I just say around all day writing a 15 page philosophy paper...UGH. Finished it though. Felt great today. Tomorrow should be interesting. I hope to feel fresh, so that I can hit some part of the upper body. We shall see.

Other Observations / Comments

Rolling. Everything is on track. Managed to finish that paper yesterday. I've got a major test on Wednesday, but after that I have NOTHING until finals. I'll be on cruise control after this test. I am starting studying today, so wish me luck. I need to get a good grade on this to keep all my classes in the A range.

Other than that, not much else is happening. I've said it a lot, but Heath is the MAN. Period. I am really loving the training that we have got going and my progress has been consistent and nice.

I'm also looking to go to the Arnold this year assuming funds are available. I've been picking up a ton of shifts at work to build up some cash. I'd love to meet some guys from the forums, so whoever is going, let me know. I've got to find a place to stay though (hopefully Mike (uhockey) has a place for me), because that would save a ton of cash.

Thats just about it. Work from 10-1 tonight should be a nice time to relax + make money + study.

Nothing crazy strength wise today. Decided to stay at the same weight for Push Press and added a rep. Felt good all the way around though.

Stamina / Endurance
[*****]

Endurance is still off the charts. Supersetted a lot of stuff tonight and I was able to hit my targeted weights the entire time. Very nice.

Energy / Focus
[****-]

Pretty decent again here. Just a good nights sleep. Felt very good all of today.

Pumps / Vascularity

I was looking very good if I do say so myself. Every time I train shoulders I put up a picture of cannonballs on my computer. Thats what I am aiming for...two big f****** cannonballs on either side of my body. HELL YES.

[*****]

Felt PERFECT today after the metabolic yesterday. Though I do suspect I might have been able to push a little more if I hadn't hit shoulders yesterday. NO biggie though, still a PR.

Other Observations / Comments

Short update today. Sorry about that. Tonight and Tomorrow night are dedicated to this ****ing econ exam. O well.

Good news though. Got my art history midterm back and killed it (58.75 out of 60). Best in my 35 person class. I just made art history my *****.

Metabolic Lower

Crazy Leg day. Squats, Lunges and more, all in a row. Incredibly fun. I want more must like it HEATH!! Now.

Strength
[N/A]

With all the circuit stuff, I'm not really going for strength, but I felt strong at the weights. I guessed too low at the beginning and had to up the weights.

Stamina / Endurance
[*****]

I needed the endurance, and I got it. I had to dig deep, but I always managed to get the targeted reps. Felt absolutely great to push myself to the limit.

Energy / Focus
[****-]

Good. Nothing crazy, but I felt zoned in.

Pumps / Vascularity
[*****]

Quad Vein...Hell yes.

Recovery
[*****]

Today is the day after the workout, as I was super busy yesterday. Legs feel pretty good. Tomorrow will be the true test though.

Other Observations / Comments

Well, I'm basically free until thanksgiving. Feel good now that everything is done (for now anyways).

Picked up some extra shifts at work to bring in some extra cash.

Everything else is going really well. Heath is going to put together a nice full-body non-weight workout for me, so that I can do it before the thanksgiving feast. Should be good.

Other than that, not much else going on. The Beta-Alanine is in full force. Feels great.

Week 5: Day 4

Workout #19

Today's Supplementation

1/2 Serving SteelEdge + 2 RPMS
AEN IntraXCell - 1 Serving
AEN Intrabolic - 1 Serving
Fish Oil
Vitamin Pack

Chest/Back - HELL YEAH!

Awesome Awesome workout. Chest/Back. Back was more hypertrophy stuff, while chest was more strength oriented. Again, alternating exercises were done back to back (and in some cases back to back to back). Incredible lift.

Strength
[*****]

Five :chick: :chick: :chick: :chick: :chick: .......I mean, Five Stars. Seriously solid strength going on today. Just an example, rack pullups were done with a nice 50 pound DB on my lap. Incline Fly up to 45's and feeling GREAT. Everything else felt very very strong and in CONTROL today.

Here is the best part. I am nearly at my pre-surgery strength level, BUT, 25 pounds lighter. Yeah!

Stamina / Endurance
[*****]

Always five stars and I wouldn't expect anything less. I was strong from the start to the finish. As usual, I was always able to dig deep and pump out an extra rep. Had my brother with me today (although he was doing full body), so he was able to spot me on some stuff. Never needed it though, as I always got my rep mark.

Energy / Focus
[****-]

Felt really good again here. Slightly out of it before I got to the gym, but one I got there, I was all game.

Pumps / Vascularity
[*****]

Holy Veins! Forearms are still veiny as all hell. Got some nice veins popping out in the biceps too.

Recovery
[****-]

Legs are pretty sore...It could have been a LOT worse though. Still walking a little weird.

Other Observations / Comments

Another solid day. I love the gym. Period. Nothing makes me happier (well...oatmeal comes close). I love competing with myself each and every day to become better. Not only physically, but also as a person.

Can't wait to workout tomorrow. Arms/Shoulders = sleeveless baby!! :pose:
