Don't see much water on my body. All indicates I'm losing fat and building muscles.
How can I build muscles and lose fat on 1000 kcal/day?

**** that's awesome, more muscle equals more calories being burnt overall which makes recomposition quicker. I'd say stay the route you're going and maybe raise cardio intensity.

I really don't know if I'm building muscles. Somehow I keep my weight with only a handful of cals.

Or maybe your eyes are getting old, your brain a bit senile, and your wife is swapping out your clothes with slightly bigger ones to make you feel better about getting fat! LOL!
 
Ditto what everyone else said! At one point last month I gained a pound and I had CLEARLY leaned out that week. I pinch my gut and see how much I can grab. Screw all the other measurements. What matters is that I can grab less each day. As long as that is happening, we're moving closer to the goal!

Your pics show the change you're looking for. Use those as your guide and take a shotgun to the scale!

Lol yea you're right that is odd, have you notice any minimal strength gains? If you're recomping strength won't me crazy.

Good you mention it. Yes, my strength is up but my resistance is low. Can move more weight initially but later into the workout I'm toast.
Remember I'm on 500mg test/week, 50mg Anavar day and 25mg Osta/day.
The Anavar gives me the strength -but where does the weight come from?

Seems that I found finally my ideal cutting diet, mainly protein shakes. All other diets ended in a recomp.

Yes, a good protein shake is extremely helpful. It fills you up w/o too many calories, it gives you your protein, some energy, and if it's got a decent flavor, feels a bit like dessert.

I just fell in love with this one: Combat Protein by Muscle Pharm (Cookies & Creme).

Yes! I find myself looking online for protein powders when I'm feeling snackish lately, haha. The different flavors available can be enormously helpful and really make a bland diet less mundane. It becomes a real treat.

I have trouble trusting Musclepharm - they were beat up pretty hard during the spiking era, but some recent tests seem to put the combat protein in OK standing. I just have trouble trusting them .... Select and USP Modern Protein are great tasting products.

Damn do fish 5 days a week

Fish is great on a diet. Gives you something other than chicken to eat. I sometimes get sick of chicken and go to fish, then get sick of fish and the chicken seems better, haha.

The scale doesn't lie, but you have to keep it in perspective. Look at Kaprice's log - great example. He was doing all the right things and stuck in a certain range for a little while, then suddenly over 2 pounds lost and a new low. That's just how it works. Sometimes you are cruising and it is flying off and you think it will last forever, other times it just stops. One theory that I think holds a lot of water (pun intended) is that as you eliminate fat from adipocytes, they backfill with fluid and you hold water for a while until they shrink. Then one day, that water just comes out and you suddenly lose a ton of weight. Just keep doing the right things and it will show on the scale too.

Yeah, this is how I react too - I can maintain my strength and still lift close to my max weights, but I can't do it nearly as long.

Well you definitely are gaining muscle and losing fat substantially then. You're getting stronger from all the anabolics but since you're in such a calorie deficiency your endurance is low but nothing to worry about. Seems like things are working out better then you expected.

The employees 16yo daughter ran around in tight yoga pants.... had to hide in the house, couldn't control the boner.
Came out at night to make a BBQ, full focus on the meat -without looking at the jail bait.

Even my wife noted my recomping. I'm now doing exclusively protein shakes on off days, no food whatsoever. On gym days I eat a small cup of oats in the morning with some fruits, a few shakes during day -and a normal meal after workout.
My body responds awesome to that.

Yeah, I don't get the appeal of ink. You work your butt off and go without some of the finer things in life to craft a killer body. And then you cover it up with ink so no one can actually get a good look at what you've created. Weird.

Got interested after seeing awesome looking guys here on AM sporting some very nice ink.
It's sort of a personal rebellion against age and the main stream I guess.
 
I remember when I first started going to a commercial gym. I saw some guys in phenomenal shape with big tattoos. I told myself that if I ever got in good enough shape, I was gonna get a partial sleeve. Kept telling myself that I wasn't big enough yet, and then I realized that I would never be as big as I wanted to be. So I went and got a half sleeve, half chest and half of my back done. Don't know if I'll ever get another one or not. But I'm glad I got this one.
