Hair Loss while using DHT deriv. steroids

If susceptible to MPB, and using DHT derivatives or steroids that convert to DHT, does a user tend to lose hair when on a cycle, or does it happen shortly afterwards? What are your thoughts on the use of a low dose of finasteride (.5 mg. ED) for short periods of time to combat this problem?

IMO losing some hair is not as bad as having erectile dysfunction (it could happen if DHT gets too low).
