hair loss possible if not genetic?

i just started my 5th cycle of testosterone at 600mg/wk, which includes the infamous prohormones, PP and TRN. i haven't had any hair loss for 4 cycles now; both of my grandpas died with hair, and my father doesn't even have a receding hairline. should hair loss be a concern for AAS users who aren't genetically prone to it?

IMO, yes. I am far from an expert on this but it makes rational sense to me that just because it's not in my blood line I shouldn't worry about something. Better be prepared than not. I believe hair thinning and loss can happen on a cycle but if you're not predisposed to MPB theres a smaller chance and a better chance of it growing back if it happens.

I disagree. Hair loss is completely genetic, and you might lose a little hair on cycle, but unless you have an existing problem I would not worry about it.

I'd like to evidence from scientific studies before I can fully accept either answer.

Its not just a myth that your mother's father is an idication of whether or not you will have hair loss. Hair loss in completely genetic, meaning your diet, what shampoo you use etc can not make you bald. I dont think a scientific study is needed to prove this. Saying hair loss is not genetic is like saying the color of your hair is not genetic.
Sure AAS is bad for hair, but unless you juice a ton I seriously doubt it can cause anyone with good genetics to look like Dr. Phil.
