Hey everyone just curious to see if anyone could chime in on what the average pay is for a manager of a gym. Also include which gym you are referring to I am looking for a career change

Factors to consider. Your experience, location, size of gym, number of members, number of employees. Most gyms in my area that aren't the Y are owner operated

Talking to some people that have owned my gym, I wouldn't call it a career change, at least not one that one could really live off of. If you had your own private gym, maybe but there is a lot of responsibilities that come with that. My ex girlfriend's dad had his own private powerlifting gym in New York, he holds some CT state powerlifting records and you could tell it took a toll on him.

That's why I was looking for multiple posts truth be told I already manage a gym and make about 40k a year but I didn't know what other gym's would pay and what size club they operated

Had friend that his uncle managed a popular south beach gym he said he brought in 58k but not sure that it's factual or just a guess

At a commercial gym I wouldn't expect it to be very high. Similar to manager of a store or something like that..

$35 - 50K would be normal for.small to mid-sized cities.

The best paid managers are the ones that own the gym in a finanicially well-endowed community. Sky is the limit in that case...
