Gut Health - help with diarrhea and IBS?

I know Gut Health is supposed to keep you "regular" while drinking and eating a lot of protein. My problem is when I drink too much protein, milk, oats, I never really have a nice solid stool so to speak. Should gut health help with this as well? I end up having to take Immonium AD like every other week if it gets too bad....that can't be healthy.

The effects of probiotics (Gut Health) should reduce the instances of diarrhea and loose stools. However, significant varinats in your diet or health state are most likely the cause of the problems that you've described. What's your fiber intake like? Do you have a lactose intolerance or another G.I issue?

Drinking alcohol, stress, illness, and being on antibiotics can also greatly contribute to an unstable gastro-intestinal flora.

I agree with T1 here. Take a look at your lifestyle and even speak to a doc to see why what might be causing your gastro-distress. Once discerned, then GH can be a huge help.

I am finishing the loading phase as we speak, and am quite pleased. I actually recommended it to family, which is a huge step for me

Thanks for the reply (and also to Reaper329). I might be slightly lactose intolerant, especially if I drink milk with meals. I have anywhere between 1-3 cups of oatmeal a day as well. Too much fiber maybe? I notice if I eat a huge muti-grain bagel I get pretty gassy too.
I will admit that I drink my share of alcohol as well. Although usually after drinking alcohol I have diarrhea the next 1/2 day and then I'm ok.
Perhaps a quick check with the doc would be in order either before or after checking out gut health.

Thanks for your honesty.

No problem. You've definitely listed a few things that could be contributing to your bowel movement issues/consistency/patterns.

Alcohol consumption most certainly will play a major role in G.I. distress as well as a potential lactose intolerance issue. It certainly wouldn't hurt getting checked out by your primary physician to exclude any serious medical concerns.

Best of luck buddy. Keep us updated with your progress if you decide to give Gut Health a try. :)
