I just use the four best foods for digestion which are Pinnaple's,Kiwi's, Papaya's, and Mangoes. These work well for me.
I also have Now's Super digestive enzymes. These are kind of a pain ebcause for them to really work you have to take 8-12 a day and NOT with meals, between meals. Dsade how many times is it recommended to take Gut Health and in between meals , like most other digestive enzymes?
Gut Health has a loading phase of 5 days. 2 capsules/day are taken at that point in an attempt to aggressively balance intestinal bacterial flora. While this competetive exclusion of pathogenic bacteria takes place, symptoms of indigestion and stomach upset may occur as the bacterial flora balances out. After day 5, 1 capsule/day is needed for maintenance dosing to maintain a balanced healthy state.
Timing with meals should not be a significant factor. The bacteria in gut health (Lactobacillus Casei KE-99) are not digestive enzymes themselves, but enhance nutrient uptake and utilization through proliferation of more useful bacteria that aid in digestion. Probiotics improve the functioning of the intestines and increase our ability to break down and absorb nutrients including protein, vitamins and minerals. Gut Health is enteric coated to prevent gastric acid destruction while in transit and allow dispersal of the probiotic bacteria into the small intestine where it exhibits its effects.
