Mate the strong thighs mmmmm I wanna go home early from work watch her train then well this ain't that sort of site hehe

I'm back... Finally!!!

Today was the start of my wendler 5/3/1 program.

I'd compete right now but to be honest my grip is so poor I need to strengthen that first so I though is just run a couple of wendler cycles in the meantime :)

Energy:
Very good as always, considering I have a cold (not much luck this month) it really helped me push through some heavy leg exercises today.

Focus:
Got to admit... Wasn't that great today but I think that was purely down to being ill and probably rather be sleeping than lifting :) still it helped me more than if I took nothing.

Pump:
Same as always here... Really really good, quads were burning and throbbing like beasts, still pumped now while I'm at work lol

Workout as follows:

Squats:

Warm up sets-
bar, 135, 175, 225, 240

Working sets-
75% of 1RM x5
80% of 1RM x5
85% of 1RM x5

Narrow Leg press:

440 x 8-10, 4 sets
Drop set to finish

Leg extensions:

260 x8-10 (3 sets)

Lying ham curls:

135 x10 (4 sets)

But that was it, keeping the volume low for assistance work really.

Considering I have a cold it wasn't too bad except feeling sick as a dog after and during the workout. But got to push through :)

Great job pushing through the workout despite feeling bad! I hope you feel better soon!! Are you taking anything-vitamin C or glutamine?

Thanks for the support :) I take vit c every day.. And a multi on top too, But to be honest I've never taken glutamine... Is it really worth it? I'm skeptical with a lot of supplements. Always wondered though.

That's good! Absolutely, I do along with other bcaas! Not only does it help training wise but also overall immune and digestion! I'm not big on taking tons of supplements either! We have it really cheap and you can use the coupon code KAT to get 40% off!

Thanks for the advice and thanks for the discount code :) I bet your discount code doesn't work on any of the uk retailers though :( that's one downside if livig here.

Still have my cold and feeling pretty lethargic but it was time for Chest day on my programme.

Energy:
You really notice the kick from this pre-workout when your ill or at all lethargic. A massive pick me up :)

Flat Barbell Bench:

Warm-up:
135 x10
175 x6

Working Sets:
205x5
225x5
233x5

Im really enjoying this program at the moment, its only one actual movement that is given to you then the rest is accessory that you decide on.

Incline DB Press:

82.5 x 10 (3 sets)
88 x 8 (1 set)
100 x 3 (2 sets)

Incline DB fly's:

45x10 (4 sets)

Weighted Seated dip machine:

That was it for today, trying not to over do it with volume as its technically a powerliftign programme.

Focus:
Fantastic as ever, really helps you get in the zone, it doesnt hit me as hard when i am ill though.

Pump:
Great again, very full chesticles, shoulders and triceps always look like a beast in the mirror. Im always having a little sneaky look at myself :)

As always then really good again, just wish this cold would go away now so i can really mentally get in there and destroy the weights.

At least tomorrow is just mobility and stretching so no effort involved really as its a rest day. Hoping to come back strong for deadlifts on Thursday!

Haven't fully shaken my cold but it isn't affecting me as much, only slightly blocked nose now.

Today was deadlift/back day... My favourite :)

Energy:
Good again, a real pick me up at 6.30am. Thought about upping the dose to 5 or 6 scoops but to be honest it's already good and doesn't get old.

Focus:
Really got in the right mental place today which was awesome for deads, my grip is something I struggle with but today I genuinely didn't notice I wasn't wearing straps!

Pump:
Insane bicep pump and lat pump today, just added in weighted pull ups too which is great for a pump.

Workout-

Deadlifts:

Warmups:

135x6,225x10, 315 x3

Working sets:

320x5
365x5
390x5

All very easy.

Weighted pull-ups:

BW- 189lb + 25lb: 4 sets 6-8 reps

Back extensions:

4sets 155 x 6

Hammer curls:

4 sets 45x10

Seated rows:

(3sets) 350x10
(2 sets) 400x 4.

That was it for today, another good day with everything, pump, focus and energy. Also not sure if I've said before bit I love the taste of this stuff with ice cold water :)

Tomorrow is OHP day... So the pump should be great... But I really need that mental focus, let's see what happens.

Nice pull-day!

Thanks for the advice and thanks for the discount code :) I bet your discount code doesn't work on any of the uk retailers though :( that's one downside if livig here.

It only works on LG's actual website unfortunately but if you didn't mind waiting a little longer for shipping it would help you out!

You're really pushing out some great workouts despite the cold!! Great work!!

Thanks for both of your input guys :)

Nice to know people support you on your journey and like reading your logs :)

I love doing this log it's really quite enjoyable.

Cold feels like it going now :) So that was a nice pick me up this morning!

Energy:
Nothing different to report here, great again, really gets me going. Kicks in about 5 mins after drinking it.

Focus:
Great focus today for my OHP and accessory work which was a big help as shoulders are the most boring thing to train for me and dont enjoy it that much.

Pump:
Another awesome pump in the delts today, it completley blows my mind when im doing isolation work like side laterals, I absolutley LOVE the pump this thing gives, never really saw the attraction with the pump before but now its a whole different ball game :)

Workout-

OHP:

Working sets:

110x5
120x5
135x5

All very easy again, this program doesnt seem to taxing so far but to be fair its week one of 5 reps as opposed to the next few weeks of 3 and 1 rep ranges.

Side lateral raises:

25x failure then drop to 10x failure for an immense burn and pump (4 sets)

Seated side lateral raises:

80 x 10 (3 sets)
30 x failure did 20 something reps (1 set)

Back extensions:

Cable Rear delt rows ( these are becoming my favourite exercise :)

175x10 (4 sets)

Pec dec Rear delt fly's:

110x12 (3 sets)

And thats it for shoulders, I dont really do any shrugs as my Trap develpment is already pretty good from heavy back work.

No chage as far as the pre-workout goes, Im so shocked that it hasnt worn off or my body isnt used to it I genuinley have to say that it is the best pre-workout I have ever taken in my 4 years of training, even stuff that had DMAA in wore off for me. SO this is INCREDIBLE!

Great work by the guys at LG Sciences, Ill only be using your product from now on... Once im out of the stuff ill be purchasing some more :)
Im dying to try some other products too when i get some more money... Bought a house 8 weeks ago so that is bleeding me dry haha.

Thanks for reading.

Another strong WO. Nice OHP's bro.

Appreciate the support man thanks :) trying to chase that 225, my max is 180. Slow road trying to progress in OHP though.

I have no idea what my max is, but my OHP used to always suck. I new to play with it again too.

I have no idea what my max is, but my OHP used to always suck. I new to play with it again too.

Yeah I only found out my max like a week ago lol... It's quite a fun lift actually, never really did it before but I quite like it. Probably because it's hard and I like training hard. If I'm not shaking or seeing stars when deadlifting I'm never happy :)

Had to miss yesterdays session because of my new house having loads of innovation work... Im there early and leave late.
But i was determined to go this morning, can't wait till I'm all moved in.. Back to normal :)

So today was Bench.

Energy:
Was up early with my daughter this morning at 430am, couldn't keep my eyes open until i took my 4 scoops of this magical powder... Then BAM wide awake.

Focus:
Really good today, one of the best days so far, really got into the mental state i needed.

Pump:
Insane/painful chest pump today with quite a bit of pressing and fly's, so this was great as always.

Workout-

Flat Bench:

Working sets:

225x3
233x3
250x3

The last set was a little heavy but nothing I couldn't handle :)

Incline DB press:

90x 6-8 (4 sets)

Incline Fly's:

45x10 (4 sets)

Cable Fly's:

Failure set x 3 at 45lb's

Seated Dips:

120x6 (3 sets)

So a great bench day.. Im happy with my pressing strength at the moment so thats good... Its always been a weak lift for me.
No doubt in my mind that the pre workout is helping a treat, I used to hate Bench day but i now look forward to it because i can get the focus I need.

Strong presses Grinnell. Nice update.

Heck of a workout after little sleep and extra stress! Glad that the epic is helping you get the energy and intensity to push through!!

Thanks for the comments guys.

As far as changing the mix to give it more oomph... All if change is maybe a little tweak to the focus ingredients. But that's just my opinion of course :)

Also no training today as I'm still sorting stuff out for my house, I just haven't got the time. From next week it should be back to normal as I move in over the weekend.

Right guys/gals thats it... Im back to normal finally, feeling good except ive not been sleeping great the past 2-3 days but that should soon change :)
But im all moved into my new house so life should be back to normal from today!!!

So started this week with some Squats!!! Love Squats.

Energy:
Amazing as always, like I said m sleep hasnt been great so was really tired this morning until i got the EPIC out of the cupboard, mixed the delicious powder into my ice cold water and... BAM there we go im ready!

Focus:
Awesome today, probably helps in the fact that im not worried about my house daily so can really get that focus going.

Pump:
Beautiful quad, ham and glute pump today... Mixed it up a little and added some lunges (hate these) which really gave me the burn, not to mention Ive been practising the Wall hold.

Workout-

Barbell Squats:

Warm up:

Bar- 20 reps
135- 10 Reps
225- 8 Reps
315- 2 Reps

Working sets:

300x3
317x3
340x3

Super easy and fast, this program is great!

Leg extensions:

264x 10 (4 sets)

Lying Ham Curls:

135x10 (4 sets)

Barbell Lunges:

90x 10 (each leg) 3 sets

Wall hold (after everything else):

2mins... This burnt like a b!tch, not to mention the leg shaking :)

Great leg day, really enjoyed it and pushed hard, I always expect a crash... but nope.
I think i may only have about another 5-6 workouts left with this stuff, running a little low on the powder :(

Still so far ive enjoyed every minute of logging and testing! Thanks again LG Sciences for the oppertunity.

Lets get straight to the point...

Bench day-

Energy: No complaints here, same as always. Good clean lasting energy thought the workout.

Focus: Same here, great focus throughout, keeps me on track and also pushes me to try new excercises each workout.

Pump: Not so great today! Every time I have trained so far it's been fasted, but today I had some rice cakes and peanut butter before I trained... And well im the pump wasn't as good, don't get me wrong.. I obviously had one, just nothing mind blowing.

Workout-

Flat bench:
Warm up: Bar- 20 reps 135- 10 Reps

Working sets:
210x5 233x3 264x1
No problems here, nice and easy.

Slingshot bench: 300x3 (1 set) 290x3 (1 set)

Incline flys: 55x 10 (4 sets)

Incline DB press: 65x AMRAP (2 sets)

Weighted pull ups: BW +45lb 6 reps 3 sets

Seated dips (weighted): 225 x10 (4sets)

So good overall as always, still amazed as the effects haven't tapered for me at all after 4 weeks. Such a good product. Strange about the pump though?

Today was my favourite day of the week, every week. DEADLIFTS!

Lets get into it...

Energy:
Solid, clean, powerful, lasting energy. This always covers me for the entire workout.

Focus:
This again is always great, in fact today I had some insane focus and pushed me for some new PR's :)

Pump:
Absolutley crazy bicep, forearm and lat pump today... Love that pump :)

Workout-

Deadlifts:

Warm up:
Bar- 10 reps
135- 6 Reps
225- 5 Reps
315- 3 Reps

Working sets:

365x3
385x3
407x3

No problems here... Getting fast and faster at pulling now which is amazing.

Back Extensons: PR
These have helped me a tremendous amout with lockout speed!!!

135 x8
180 x5
225 x5
242 x3

Got to admit that that last set was heavy. Here I come 315!

Weighted Pull-ups:

BW + 45lb x 6 (4 sets)

T-bar rows: PR

3 plates x20
4 plates x10
5 plates + 10lb x5- PR! This was damn heavy too!

Underhand Cable Rows:

285 x 6 (3 sets)

So... an INSANE back/deadlift day with some awesome new PR's... Just got to keep progressing week by week, Im dying to compete in a meet but to be honest id like to have these totals first:

B- 320
S- 505
D- 530

BW- 189

Plus i dont know what to expect so im a little nervous, I might have to go and watch a meet to see what's up.

Beast mode!!! Congrats on those PR's!! You're strong! You should definitely do a competition! You'll be ready before you know it at this rate!

Well Well Well...............

Thats it ladies and gentlemen, the end of the road/tub :)

Today was my last workout on LG Sciences EPIC. Im not going to list my workout today unless anybody wants me to? My plan is just going to highlight my experience with this pre-workout.

SO lets begin, LG Sciences sent me a tub of their new EPIC pre-workout powder to try, no up to this point i had seen some of their products but had never tried them, obviously I saw an oppertunity to log something and took it. Now im in the UK so it took a little longer than others to arrive but either way i was still excited to come home and see it there on the table!

Heres my final ratings:

Taste- 4.5/5
The taste is great and is very very easy to drink at 6.15am which is a nice plus. The only reason it doesnt get a 5 is because I only award stuff a 5 if i feel it could be drank if i was just thirsty. (granted you wouldnt take a pre workout if your thirsty).

Mix- 4.5/5
Very very good mixability, not really any issues, i mixed it with a spoon everytime i took it, the only reason it doesnt get a 5 is because there would sometimes be a few 'sinkers' at the bottom.

Effects- 5/5
Just read that rating... 5/5! This stuff was honestly the best pre-workout I have ever taken, the main reason is simply because it never got old... I never had to up the dose to more than my normal 4 scoops (2 servings) and I also NEVER had a crash which is amazing and hard to come by nowadays.

Value for money- 5/5
Obviously I didnt pay for this but even at 4 scoops a day it lasted me a fair while, In total it lasted around 5 weeks! and thats 4 sessions a week. I have to admit I did miss the odd session due to illness or me moving home. But it would easily last 4 weeks anyway, not to mention the price is great if your considering buying this product... WHICH YOU SHOULD!

OVERALL- 19/20

So those are the ratings and to be honest it covers basically everying it needed to... except the one thing that I feel i have to mention as its the most important to me...

The Focus.

Now ive had a tough time this year with losing a close friend and battling depression as I lost my Grandfather last year who was so so so close to my heart, he helped me in all aspects of life and always had an interest in what I was doing. Since losing him I found it hard to focus in the gym and really struggled with the motivation to actually drag myself out of bed in the mornings. But having this oppertunity made me kick start my routine all over again as you guys needed someone to rely on for this log. But as soon as i started taking this stuff, that was it I actually WANTED to get up and train and its hgelped me a lot with using my anger about everthing thats happened and channeling it into a lift. And i honestly have to say it was 100% this pre-workout. :)

So overall after not making this too long, would I reccommend it to anyone else?

YES 110% i would and I think from now on I will be purchasing this pre-workout from yourself along with other supplements simply because I feel if you can make this good of a pre-workout which is no easy task, then any other product will have the same quality and passion put into the development.

Id like to thank LG science once again for this oppertunity and look forward to using more of your products in the future.

Grinnell27
