it is part of the "music genome project" you tell it your favorite band, and it makes a playlist. You can approve or reject songs and if you become a member, it will remember and learn from your choices for your "stations" I've got a "lamb of god" station, a "tool" station, and a couple more. Only possible negative is you can't choose a specific song to play at any given time, or go "back" in the list as you go on (kinda like a crazy ipod shuffle, LOL).

it seems though pandora has been having some issues lately with things just cutting out throughout the day.. I've always listened to it, but the past few weeks I've been really disappointed in them.
 
I guess I'm late on the bandwagon again, LOL. So far so good, but I guess they are growing a bit faster than their bandwidth, not too much of a problem if they can fix it quick though :)

I understand that one... Boredom at work led me to upgrade my cell plan with unlimited data transfer... LOL

hahah Ive listened to Pandora all day/every day for about the past 4 months..

honestly i havent had any major bandwidth issues... maybe once or twice a day i have to skip a song because it stops.. but other than that i love it.

i used to listen to yahoomusic but they limited the # of songs you could listen to each month...bastards

Pandora is a godsend... canceled my sirius satellite radio
 
I love it, I'm stuck on my "TOOL" station 95% of the time.

I tried it a couple years ago n didn't like it,
I put in things like Danzig & Slayer, you know, hard rock & metal that's really 'hard core serious' but has vocals you can understand, and it gave me all that MTV 'teenager puke-screaming loudly into the mic' pop-metal crap...
 
Not really doing that to me. I've only had to eliminate chevelle from my tool list so far.

I tried it the other night and it seems to have improved with time. I know if I throw Cradle of Filth in there as one of my few exceptions
for vocal styles, it's gonna mess everything up though.
 
heh, it should allow you to choose why you don't like the song.
