I'm trying to get a good list going before I get my first paycheck at this new job.
Essentials:
Omega 3 (numerous benefits include Anti-inflammatory, brain health, possibly reducing shbg, essential nutrient in the body)
Magnesium: Most people are deficient (Magnesium is needed for numerous body functions, promotes muscle relaxation, testosterone production is reduced if deficient, as well as anxiety)
Vitamin C: One study showed that subjects consuming 1000mg before public speaking had lower cortisol than controls that didnt take it. Lowering cortisol is primary on my agenda
Vitamin D: Enhances exercise performance and increases Testosterone, many important body functions as well.
Caffeine: Not essential, but damn good for focus, increased strength, fat loss capabilities, mood, and appetite suppression.
Olive oil: Monounsaturated fats boost testosterone when taken in increased amounts. Oleuroptin increases test-cortisol ratio.
Muscle Building:
Creatine: fast strength gain, body weight increase, increases igf1 expression in muscles.
Protein: Casein protein intake is correlated with increased IGF1 levels. Whey protein is a very fast and efficent way to start anabolism.
Waxy maize/maltodextrin: post workout insulin spike to shuttle nutrients.
Arachidonic acid: Creates a greater postworkout inflammatory response in the muscles, making each workout more effective.
BCAA's: carbless source of fast acting muscle building aminos.
Fat loss:
I'm not much of a stim guy, nor do I need to lose any weight, so I don't know much about these.
Yohimbe: Vasodilator and fat loss agent.
Mood and stress control:
Ashwagandha: reduces cortisol, slightly boosts testosterone
L-theanine: boosts dopamine and serotonin, as well as GABA, increases alpha waves in the brain, found during relaxation.
Kava: for the weekend, very relaxing. gaba agonist
Phosphadatyl serine: reduces cortisol response to exercise by 1/2
Relora: Cortisol control
Allopregenelone: Just heard of this one, increases gaba across the board.
Tumeric: Circumin could have been put in all of these categories, it reduces inflammation, elevates mood, anti catabolic, fat ,loss effects.//
Any others have any input besides prohormones, and aas?
muscle relaxers? Whatever increases size, strength, recovery, libido, sleep quality, and mood?
I'm open minded to keep researching. Or research anything someone is interested in but unsure about.
