Good supplement stack for endurance?

Hi, what non pump supplements would be the best for kickboxing, grappling and boxing? For endurance and maybe recovery?Any new products also to add?thanks for any info.

I’ve only taken senactive so far and I do like it, smaller difference but it’s doing something. Gained back about 5-6 pounds after losing 10, normally would notice the weight gain on the stairmaster, but it actually almost seems to have gotten easier. Haven’t tried Rev02 yet but a lot of guys love it. As far as recovery goes, I’m sure you are taking protein and have that covered, but I’ve been doing casein protein before bed every single night and it’s done wonders for recovery.

Apex-Alchemy's Triton is Spectacular, IMO.
I use it every day, and never allow myself to run out.

.... I'm a rep for Apex, but I make this recommendation because it's True.
:)

There are a lot of different single ingredient things that you can try, but over the last couple of months, we have introduced 2 endurance products that have great studies on the ingredients and a lot of great real world feedback. One of the guys on here that trains BJJ has left some feedback in the ATP Elite thread.

They are both good for muscular and cardiovascular endurance, but ATP Elite focuses more on muscular endurance whereas ReV02 focuses more on cardiovascular endurance.

Here are links to the products themselves:

Here are the threads on them where you can read more about them and feedback.

What do you take for endurance and recovery currently? That could mean a ton of different things, though your chosen sports lend to a certain direction of need.
Im currently usine, creatine hcl, citrulline malate, taurine, beta alanine and just started using phospaditic acid.ive been hearing about peak 02 lately.i just don't want and pumps, I'm even open to preworkouts that don't cause them.im doing boxing and kickboxing atm.thanks for any replies.

PEAK02 is a good ingredient from a single ingredient standpoint; we've sold it for years.

We have had feedback on ReV02 saying that its better than PEAK02, which would make sense since its comparing a single ingredient to a formula; and Cordyceps is the main constituent in PEAK02 and ReV02 uses a specialized Cordyceps at a high dose.

Definitely can understand wanting to avoid pumps in the context of your training routine.

SNS Peak02 + Apex Alchemy Triton is my favorite endurance stack (haven't tried ReV02).

Thanks for the reply,I will look into this

Nothing has ever worked as well for me than Nootropics Depot Tiger's milk mushroom.

Absolutely incredible.
This is interesting, the Tigers milk hasn’t been on my radar. I’m newer to the mushrooms, so I’m dabbling here and there with some. Have you taken many other kinds?

ive also tried various brands of cordyceps and every time it makes me MORE tired.

That includes Nootropics Depot's different extracts, and the new SNS Rev02. Bothh make me feel chilled out and sleepy sadly.

Solid question. For endurance, a basic but effective stack I’ve seen work includes:
Citrulline malate (6-8g), Beta-alanine (3-4g), and Rhodiola Rosea (300mg).
If budget allows, adding Cordyceps can really help VO2 max and oxygen efficiency.”

So the main thing I’m looking for is the “chill” or mood calming effects. Would you say the Cordyceps gives more of a chill than the others? Sorry to hear it makes you so tired if that’s not the goal!

For me personally, it's not a chilling effects. Its a tired like I just want to be asleep feeling.

Cordyceps seem to be hit or miss for alot of people. Have certainly heard alot of people who love it for endurance!

But google cordyceps, fatigue, adenosine and theres alot of people where it makes them tired.

I’m ok with tired too lol, shift work has my sleep f**ked. I’ll be googling soon, thanks! 🙏

He responds differently to some things than other people - not meaning that in a bad way, he and I have discussed it a lot because I do too on some things.

Cordyceps isn't tiring to most people.

Have you tried Mood Support XT? That is great for a lot of people for what you're describing that you're looking for.

You and I have talked about in the past how we are both sensitive to some things, not usually the same things, but I can relate to responding differently than most people to a lot of things.

Different things work differently for different people, but a lot of times when that happens, it’s something with our body chemistry that is responsible for our individual response to it.

Cordyceps is very popular for endurance and is extremely well-researched for cardiovascular endurance, including a lot of human clinical studies.

There are different types of Cordyceps and different concentrations of Cordyceps, so of course if you’re sensitive to it, then the more concentrated form that you use, the more likely it is to impact you.

But the vast majority of people find Cordyceps, especially specific ones, to be one of the best cardiovascular enhancing ingredients that they can use.

ReV02 uses Cordy-Plex, which is a combination of specific forms of Cordyceps Sinensis and Cordyceps Militaris.

PEAK02 has been mentioned in this thread too, and it’s primarily Cordyceps as the predominant ingredient in it.

There's going to be another part to this post that goes into more detail.

For anyone reading, I asked him if it was okay that I mentioned him having a hypersensitivity to anything that affects acetylcholine levels before posting this just to make sure he was okay with it. He's talked about it openly before, but I always like to be respectful and make sure.

In his case, he's probably the most hyper sensitive person to anything that effects Acetylcholine that I've ever known of - and I think the response to Cordyceps may be related to that.

Here is something that I expect may be very relevant to this particular situation that may not have realized, and it may be relevant to anyone else with extreme acetylcholine hypersensitivity, and also explain it for people that don't so they don't have to worry about it themselves.

  • A major factor in improving cardiovascular endurance is lowering the heart rate.
  • A lower resting heart rate makes the heart more efficient, allowing it to pump a larger volume of blood with each beat, which then reduces the need to beat as often because it requires fewer beats to meet the body’s oxygen needs (increased efficiency of oxygen delivery).
^^^ This is generally a wonderful thing and goal of most endurance athletes.

Cordyceps is great for cardiovascular endurance because it can help/support:
  • Increased oxygen utilization and efficiency
  • Enhanced ATP production
  • Lactate threshold improvement
  • Reduced fatigue by improving mitochondrial function
  • Improved blood flow and delivering more oxygen to working muscles
  • Adaptogenic Properties: Cordyceps has strong adaptogenic properties, meaning that it helps the body better handle both physical and mental stress. This is especially important for athletes who train hard and need to recover efficiently between workouts or events.
  • Studies have shown that Cordyceps may lower heart rate though mechanisms such as improved blood flow and improved cardiovascular efficiency.
^^^ this is great for most people, especially endurance athletes and people who want to increase their cardiovascular endurance.

The problem in your case, and the case of others that have hypersensitivities to acetylcholine levels, is that lowering the heart rate is directly linked to increased acetylcholine levels.

Here’s how this works:
  • As shown above, lowering heart rate is good for endurance athletes because it increases oxygen efficiency and delivery.
  • As shown above, Cordyceps has been shown to support oxygen efficiency and delivery and has been shown in some studies to lower heart rate and improve cardiovascular efficiency.
  • Parasympathetic activity: The actions or function of the parasympathetic nervous system, a brand of the autonomic nervous system that is involved in calming the body, slowing heart rate, and breathing.
  • Lowering heart rate, particularly through parasympathetic activity, is directly linked to increased acetylcholine levels. The parasympathetic nervous system, which releases acetylcholine, plays a key role in slowing down the heart rate, and this mechanism involves acetylcholine binding to M2 receptors in heart cells.
  • While increasing acetylcholine is involved in alertness and increased levels can sometimes cause excitability, increased levels can cause tiredness in certain contexts – such as when the heart rate is low, an increase in acetylcholine can contribute to tiredness.
So basically, even though Cordyceps doesn't directly effect acetylcholine levels, the method of action through which it works, and especially for specialized extracts how well they work - its the way that it works that may be influencing your acetylcholine levels and it explains the tiredness aspect of it.

This wouldn't apply to the average person, or 99% of people, but hopefully it may help you in the future too when you think about methods of action with other things that may improve heart rate and oxygen utilization.

No the main focus of the product but anabolic effect from CEL have a profound effect on endurance for me

Actually yeah, started taking it about 2 weeks ago and really enjoy it. My sleep schedule is screwed so I have to take naps during the day most the time, sometimes later in the day, which in turn kinda messes up falling asleep at bedtime. So I’ve been on a mood/relaxation/sleep kick lately.

Love to hear this, Anabolic Effect is very high on my list, have heard many good things on here about it. It’s actually between Anabolic effect and alpha one on my next purchase, haven’t fully decided yet, still haven’t gotten my feet wet with the “stronger” natty anabolics. I say stronger in quotes because the strongest thing I’ve taken so far in my supplement journey is epicatechin lol.

Anabolic Effect would definitely be a good one to try out imo. A lot of people react positively to it with results.

Ok glad I asked since a few of those are things I’d have suggested.

Peak 02 is a great option that I’ve used with a lot of success in the past. It is always worth a look in these situations.

I’ll be trying SNS Rev02 this year in place of it for my endurance needs.

Looking outside of vasodilators or pump products does decrease options but there are still a few other things I like.

For overall heart health and things that benefit general heart centric endurance adaptations SNS Cardiovascular Support is a solid option.

XPG Carnitine Gel may also be worth looking into or even just LCLT. The gel should help endurance more, but both should help with recovery and muscle soreness.

TMG may also be worth looking into as well.

Targeted carb type and timing may be worth looking into as well and adequate electrolyte intake will help too.
Thanks
