Good movies anyone?

So...I like a certain kind of movies...I have enjoyed a lot Fight Club , The Devils Advocate , Batman Begins , Dark Knight , All the marvel ones including avengers , but I seem to have had much more fun and focus on the first 2 , any good movies like Fight club or The Devils advocate? I've watched american psyco and american beauty too , hell of a good combo both of those too. Help a brother out in need...living in a new town , not many friends but gym pals and serious boredom!!
 
inception, or any of the Christopher Nolan films aside from batman.
the prestige is one of my favorite movies, if you haven't seen it - watch it.

im excited for the dark knight rises.


fight club is a cult classic, I don't know if there's anything like it.

the machinist is good, since I'm on the Christian Bale topic.
 
I wanna see the Machinist! but they took it off from netflix :S , and yeah I hear yah , Inception was one of my faves too! , I didn't add it along with the illusionist idk why haha , I have watched those 2 , many times actually and love them , The Prestige is actually awesome too, brilliant I would say oO something else like this?

Meanwhile I'll try to find the Machinist haha
 
I'm trying to remember the cop one with Leonardo dicaprio...the departed? he was like a mobster posing as a statey.

memento is okay.

the Bourne movies? they are alright to me. the overall plot line is more interesting than anything.

I could not watch more than 20 mins of the bournes seriously haha I guess they are not for me! , The Departed from dicaprio DAMN, thats one kick ass movie , also I watched Catch me if you can from him and hanks , it was good!!! Memento was good yeah haha , only watched it once though oO!!

Yeah haha , loved it. Now I got some inspiration I think I'll have a solid friday night watching Good Fellas , and The Godfather , followed by The machinist once its done downloading haha!
 
You should check out The Usual Suspects if you haven't seen it.

The 13th Warrior. Very under rated movie imo. Oh lol didn't read all of the original post. The 13th Warrior is a great movie, but nothing at all like the devil's advocate or fight club.

No Country For Old Men. Usual Suspects gets a second vote from me. Pulp Fiction. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is entertaining. Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. Big Fish. Amelie. Thank You For Smoking. The Big Lebowski. The Shawshank Redemption. And of course Pumping Iron :)
 
Damn guys thanks a lot!! Now I got a whole weekend of movies to watch :) Goes to show , we really are a community more than just a bunch of gym nuts debating routines/supps :p!! ^^ now on to the pirate bay!! I mean to buy legal movies!! hahaha

Hey use peer guardian if you're going to torrent trust me. I almost went to court one time, thankfully they didn't have much of a case.
 
Snatch is awesome. Revolver is an underrated movie, it's on netflix. American Me is a good gangster flick and it will make you never want to see the inside of a prison. Gangs of New York, Middle Men (also on netflix), Lock, stock, & 2 smoking barrels, Dirty Harry, The Lincoln Lawyer, Drive, Shooter, Die Hard, Bad Boys (original version with Sean Penn), Big Lebowski, Black Hawk down, Super Trooper, Silence of the lambs, Office Space, Reindeer games, Clerks, and don't forget about Terminator 2

Doesn't Charlize Theron show her tits in Reindeer games? I think that's the reason I watched it when I was 12 lol.

Smoking ace's, shoot'em up, shutter island. On netflix right now Breaking bad and twin peaks!
 
Idk if it's on netflix, but Cinderella Man has to
be one of my favorite movies. About a rags-to-riches boxer in the great depression that was ok then went broke during the depression and worked his way back up. Very inspiring and great movie
 
My personal favorite, The Deer Hunter. Old school dinero. Can't go wrong. Others include Casino, American History X ( Ed norton is a beast), and There Will Be Blood ( Daniel Day Lewis....such an underrated actor). Try these let me know what u think!

A few maybe unmentioned classics I really enjoy that aren't necessarily obvious in today's era:

Heat
Reservoir Dogs
A Clockwork Orange

Taxi Driver should be a really obvious film to compare to Fight Club. I mean obviously it's a different plot, but there is a little crossover in some of the themes present in both movies. Honestly, I like it a little better than Fight Club. Slightly different, too, is "Repo Man." Love that flick.

A couple cheese flicks that I just absolutely love for some reason are Shoot 'Em Up (mentioned already) and both Cranks. Slightly less cheesy (although the cinematography is) is Conan, but I'm going to assume you've seen this since every man worth his salt has seen it.
