Do you know how many teachers, accountants, firefighters, construction workers, lawyers etc died of heart attack this year? Probably a lot. Nobody will talk about it unfortunately as it’s going to be seen as very unfortunate but it "happens". Sure bodybuilding, steroids , hgh, insulin and what not is CERTAINLY not healthy but not every single bodybuilding dying died because of steroid abuse. It’s getting very annoying how it’s instantly blamed and couldn’t possibly be something else.Invalid Link Removed

Roids = heart attack?Bodybuilding has been pushing boundaries for years with the number and amount of drugs needed to compete at the high level. It's pretty difficult to mitigate all the sides, and some people are simply more susceptible to them.
But like any elite level sport, boundaries are pushed and the risk multiplies.
I would think you could draw a correlation. The heart is a muscle. Steroids enlarge muscles, and an enlarged heart isn't good. Add in diuretics, stimulants and carrying more weight(muscle mass) than your body wants to/should be able to.Roids = heart attack?
100% of the heart attack this year were due to diuretic abuse. That’s the mean danger and killer in the sport.I would think you could draw a correlation. The heart is a muscle. Add all that and more on top of an undiagnosed heart condition and it seems pretty plausible.
Agreed. That's why I mentioned it, but he asked about roids. Really though, the pro bodybuilder lifestyle isn't exactly conducive to longevity.100% of the heart attack this year were due to diuretic abuse. That’s the mean danger and killer in the sport.
100% agree and more often than other bodybuilders end up taking 5-10-15-20 years away from their life but steroids won’t make you drop dead at 20-25-30-35 years old is more what I meant and there’s this thing on social media where it’s always immediately steroids fault which is absurd. Diuretics though are a real problem now and coaches writing down protocol that are absolutely ridiculous and that would potentially kill a fucking horse.Agreed. How many people died just driving to work, or crossing the street it is always unfortunate when we lose someone, but none of us know when it's our time? Tell those you care about how you feel, hug the people you love !
