GDAs and AMPk activation

I want to take the GDAs below to keep my insulin sensitivity good and my blood sugar from diabetic levels (soon on something that rises my blood sugar)

Bulking with 4021 cals - 228g protein, 542g carbs, 86g fat
A little over 165lb bodyweight at 5'11

Will the AMPk activation hurt my gains significantly?

The GDAs:

When waking up:
• 150mg Na-R-ALA

Before pre-workout meal (1930 cals, 227g carbs):
• 150mg Na-R-ALA
• 1/2 dose SNS Glycophase
(
•• 500mg Agmatine Sulfate
•• 250mg Berberine HCI
•• 250mg Bitter Melon
•• 150mg Banaba Leaf
•• 150mg Gymnema Sylvestre
•• 75mg Alpha Lipoic Acid
•• 50mg Na-R-ALA
•• 15mg Saffron
•• 150mcg Chromium
)

Before post-workout meal - one big meal split in half (1140 cals, 132g carbs):
• 500mg Berberine HCl
• 500mg Garcinia Cambogia

Before dinner - one big meal 2nd half (1140 cals, 132g carbs):
• 500mg Berberine HCl
• 500mg Garcinia Cambogia

I would avoid it w post workout meal if concerned about AMPK. If using MK-677 I’d dose berberine upon waking and b4 bed. Just avoid it post workout and you should be fine.

You don't have anything to worry about.

I think you would be much better to do a full dose per day of GlycoPhase.

Thank you both!

I'll move my berberine to upon waking and pre-bed as you said. And no AMPk activating supps with the post workout meal

A full dose would be more effective for sure but I only have 2 bottles and need to stretch them to 4 months use. I got to keep the costs down a little and the other blood sugar regulating supps should do the job in combination with the half dose GlycoPhase

Why no berbine post workout. I believe there are some products specifically marketed towards berbine postworkout

I went down this rabbit hole many years ago, and essentially it is overthinking. Lots of things activate AMPK, and yet swoleness can be obtained.

A lot of people get confused between blood sugar regulating supplements and GDA's.

I'll explain it using GlucoVantage XT, which is our advanced Berberine product. Every 100 mg. GlucoVantage XT is equivalent to 500 mg. of Berberine without the stomach upset that some experience from regular Berberine.

GlucoVantage XT is an excellent supplement for helping with blood sugar support and has a lot of great anti-aging and longevity benefits.

GlycoPhase is a true GDA. It will help with blood sugar control, but it goes much further than that. It is designed to help make your carbs work for you and not against you, meaning that it is meant to help you more efficiently utilize your carbs (not just balance blood sugar) and to help promote anabolism and nutrient delivery and help make sure that your carbs go towards building muscle instead of towards fat.

A lot of people get confused or don't fully understand this subject because some companies unfortunately market blood sugar control products as GDA's and it causes confusion bc the term doesn't just mean one thing anymore.
