GABA verses all the new generation sleep+GH inducers

I'm ignorant on this subject and would like to learn more.

GABA and its analogues were the staple for pre-bed GH release a few years back. Then, all the new generation PM GH-releasers came out (PowerFULL, 1-GH-1, GHenerate, etc).

These contain things like: Sapogenin/alkaloids/1C-Decarboxylase/Murcuna Puriens, L-Dopa, etc

Are these in any way related to GABA in the way with which they work? Is the MOA the same?

I have a TON of sleep issues and I need all the help I can get. I ran and LOVED PowerFULL for years but unfortuntately, it does nothing for me now and need to get off entirely and was thinking about GABA, etc

actually, i use gaba daily.
maybe 3 to 5 grams a night in some water, and again a couple if i wake up and feel too wired.
happens often enough.

started taking some p-5-p with it.
dreams are off the hook.

dunno about the other supps, as haven't felt a need to spend the extra scratch.
gaba, melatonin, some coenzyme b vites (and/or straight p-5-p)

a 1/2 wph shake with some bcaas

and i am good to, well, go NOWHERE.

cheap.

oh, yeah, buy the gaba powder.
100grams is less than 10bx...

OK - figured I'd share my feedback for anyone who cares....

Took 2 grams last night. (directions on the bottle said 1-3g so I split the difference).

Well, 20 minutes in, I had this mad rush of tingling and warmth that started in my neck and went up and down from there. This lasted about 15 minutes. It freaked me out a bit LOL. Sort of reminded me of that tigling sensation you get with high dosed Beta-Alanine.

Then as it dissipated, I felt absolutely ZERO calming effects let alone sleepiness. :rolleyes:

My effectiveness score? 0 out of 10.....aka......WORTHLESS. If anything, it made me a bit wired as it took me much longer to get to sleep and resorted to throwing down Nyquil just to get to sleep.

seriously, stuff works like a charm for me.
i guess i have gotten that tingly feeling before...
maybe i adapted to it.
now, i just feel a bit 'heavy...'
sometimes, chest heavy, like breathing is a chore if i take too much.
but, the wild thoughts slow down - for me at least.
and, i can sleep well.

man, do you have melatonin?
try these in combination.
i have 3mg melatonin and have had the best results from dissolving tablets that you chew up and swish around in the mouth...
seem to work a bit faster than swallow-only type tabs.
also, i have some magnesium oxide i will use sometimes.
maybe a gram at a time.
magnesium will help with relaxation.
and, like i said, i also dose coenzyme b vites,
and lately some p-5-p before sleep.
anyways, don't give up on it yet...
at the very least, if you don;t think that it will help you sleep, you can add it to your pre workout - it'll raise gh that way too.

but, benadryl doesn't
offset prolactin related sides
make stronger bones
increase alkalinity
or increase gh...
