Food addiction/ ED/ food anxiety...etc

Anyone have any good advice regarding eating disorders. I know there's so many, but basically the constant thought of obsessing on foods, macros, calories...etc. i hate living with the constant thought of food. It's almost like I forgot how to eat or what real hunger cues feel like. I definitely can't afford medical care and my insurance sucksssss. Is there any free online programs or recommendations anyone has, or how you overcame your ED? I'm sick of food constantly being a though and distraction in my life since I started tracking years ago. I don't really track anymore, but still have compulsive and annoying thoughts regarding it. The annoying part is....my job and income is effected by how my body looks, so tracking and training are a pretty consistent part of my life. Just looking for any help you may have. Thanks!

Get professional help. That is your best and easiest solution. Taking what people say on an online board, watching youtube videos, or reading blogs (which there are hundreds) will only be a small stepping stone. I know you want a "Cheap" option or one that won't cost much money due to your situation, but when push comes to shove it will only spin your wheels. The eating disorder is present, and it will not go away unless you get someone to mentally change your thought process and overall outlook on food. You can try and do things on your own, but majority of the time is just leads to a downward spiral and repetitive behavior. If you want to get rid of the shackles and bad habits get someone who will help you get someone with that scope of practice.

What Bob said. I've been at my job for 24 years, and I'd like to think i'm pretty good at it. Unfortunately, my job has nothing to do with eating disorders. Any advice I would have would be things I learned by watching Biggest Loser and My 600 pound life. In other words, it would be bad advice.

Amen
Having been through 3 cycles of treatment before I finally got my demons under control (not destroyed-they will always lurk), I can say that none of the treatments-in patient, partial and just a therapist did the trick by themselves. Without them, however, I wouldn't have had the space I needed to regain control.
In the end, all good things come through God-he just used therapy to give himself time to allow me to come back to him.
If you are totally strapped for cash (and that really is no excuse-treatment centers will work with you), seek out support groups and participate: the devil loves a quiet, tormented soul
