I use the Focus XT Energy off and on and like it a lot. I've added in some Citrulline/Agmatine for a good preworkout. Not too much, just right amount of caffeine for me. Last few times I had the Blue and Green Apple. I honestly didn't think it tasted all that great but of course that's not why I was drinking it. Only thing I drink for the taste is some of BCAA mixes. Some of those are flat out delicious.

np .. sometimes it takes 1-2 tries .. you would have to experiement with the water intake for your sweetness likeness

hope it works out and gives you what you looking for
 
I'm actually really enjoying the Storming Grape Limeade flavor (not to mention, the actual effects of Focus XT - which works better (and tastes better, to me) than other products I've tried in the same category such as Orange Brainwash and Brain Gains).
 
i like focus xt and somatomax hour before i go for a long run-4-5 miles----bring some pink floyd :cool:

Speaking of Pink Floyd .. I loved the old school flavors esp pink lemonade and candy corn was so good ( still have couple stocked up in cabinet )

Pina coalada was pretty old school .. loved the creativity behind it

Good points and I agree not the best tasting .. but for what’s in there and how u said it can throw stuff in is pretty bad ass .. I’ve used pre, intra .. college days go me thru exams

Maybe not the best tasting but for what’s in there it’s hard to mask the taste and I think @sns8778 did heck of a job

I’ve thrown some bulk 5G leucine in there and drank it intra .. but kinda get it that u want the good tasting stuff intra .. like I said I’ll give up taste for performance too.
 
I've always enjoyed the Blue Raspberry flavor. Haven't tried the newer flavoring so not sure if it's still the same or not.

Can't go wrong with rocket pop! It seems like it hits the spot for any company using it as a flavor for a pre workout.
 
Controlled Labs Orange Brainwash has good effects. I wouldnt buy it for the taste though. I normally added a bit more caffeine since it has a high dose of theanine.
 
If you want to go the capsule route, I have seen some great reviews for Chaos & Pain Cannibal Genius. It's on my list of things to try. I might pick some up this Black Friday.

I reviewed CL Orange Brainwash and my gripe with that one was the 200mg of L-Theanine which for me
really really ruined it cause it's a VERY GOOD profile but it only has 150mg of caffeine so I don't know
why :confused: they added the L-theanine. Companies claim it adds to the focus and keeps you from crash but
I would rather NOT have it in my stimulant supplements.
 
Focus xt, hands down. Reviews on flavor have to be from kids that don't know what these ingredients taste like solo. I have been taking Focus xt for years as a focus boost for work. Drink it every single day to get me through the afternoon.

One of the people on Amazon that complained about the flavor complained that the Green Apple Abduction isn't sour enough and he says it smells like banana. He had emailed me about it before posting the negative review - ironically trying to get free product to not place a bad review and then did it anyway.

But basically, the thing is the flavor is Green Apple - not Sour Apple, so the complaining that it wasn't sour enough was a little odd being that we don't claim it to be sour apple. And there is no banana flavor in it. In communicating with him, he said that he absolutely hates banana flavor and smell - so I think there's something that reminds him of banana in the smell and also makes him not like it. Ironically, I hate apple flavored anything and Focus XT Green Apple tastes and smells just like Green Apple to me haha.


We had to change contract manufacturers of flavored powders bc of the Covid situation and its impact on the industry so some of this years flavors do taste slightly different than previous flavors. Like with most any flavors, some people may find them better, some people may not. For example, if you like Sour Blue Raspberry, the old flavor was probably better. If you like ICEE type Blue Raspberry, you would probably like the current one better. It's not that either are bad, just different.

We are working with a different contract manufacturer on flavored powders now so its possible that future batches may taste slightly different as well because its almost impossible to 100% flavor match certain flavors. But we also have some new flavors lined up as well for early next year. We had hoped to get them out this year, but they really aren't winter type flavors so we're going to try to get them perfect and release them early next year.

Thank you. I'm really glad that you enjoy it.

And yeah, I agree. I think that Focus XT tastes great. There are some ingredients in it that aren't easy to flavor and that's a reason that some companies don't use the ingredients or especially not at efficacious dosages - bc some people have an unrealistic expectation that supplements are supposed to taste like Kool Aid or something and that's just simply impossible with certain ingredients and especially at efficacious dosages of them.
