Fish Oil- Is It Just Me?

Everyone really needs to take Fish Oil. Omeg 3's ect. Im seriously about to stop taking It. Everytime I take a fish oil pill ten minutes before eating, I burp all day long and I have that disgusting fish taste In my mouth. It happens roughly every ten minutes or so. I have the 1000 Mg soft gels and I constantly have this problem.

Are there any other Fish Oil pills I can take to not have this problem? Also the only real fish I can eat Is Tuna, I am disgusted with the mere thought of anything else that comes from the ocean.
 
I tend to stay away from Gnc.
 
They sell enteric coated capsules (thicker capsules) that don't burst open as early as the regular ones. You could try those.

Any idea where to buy them? Im a baller on a budget at the moment, I really dont want to dish out stacks for something i already have. Just like a cheap alternative or some way to take it different.
 
The best thing to do is to get the liquid form of Carlson's online. No caps, but you pour a teaspoon. It's lemon flavored - doesn't taste bad at all, can even use it as salad dressing if u choose. It's a big jar that's a little bit expensive, but adjusted per serving, it's the cheapest by far.
absolutely no burps either. something about the gelatin coating causes those burps

I've actually purchased the Fish Oil caps from BJs Wholesale Club and they have anti-fish burp ones! Pretty funny and VERY effective!
 
I have never EVER had a fish oil burp from the NutraPlanet ones I buy; 1000 pills for $35. There is no better deal I have found than that.

this is the way to go, no nasty fish burps and its citrus flavored. also no nasty chemicals for the enteric coating process, its modified softgel technology from the inside allows for enteric abilities without adding a coat of varnish to the outside.
 
I have had issues in the past with fish burps.

As long as you take them with a meal, you should be ok? As the fish oil isn't digesting in an empty stomache.

I take 2-3 with each meal and do not have this problem anymore.
 
I buy mine at Wal-Mart and they also have a non-fish taste brand. No fishy after taste or fishy taste when you burp!

Maybe try flaxseed oil if you can't find these?
 
It's pretty easy to find "odorless" fish oil pills. Lots of companies make them infused with lemon which masks the fish taste, and others are steamed somehow that takes the fish smell away. I get mine from Trader Joe's, but I'm not sure if there's a store where you live.
 
NOW Foods Ultra Omega-3 is enteric coated, and it has the best EPA-DHA dosage per cap I've seen. Never had the burps with them, unlike some of the cheaper brands I've tried.
 
CL oximega fish oil. Its potent, so you'll ingest less. Also freeze you fish oil caps. It'll take a lot longer to dissolve, and you won't have burps.

Take non-scented pills (cant remember the exact name) costs a little more than the regulars but u wont have the fish burps! Your fish oil is very good for your heart note the Omega's 3-6-9. Unless u can your omegas from somewhere else (flaxseed to name one) i would keep at em.

Try taking them with a meal + milk. Thats how i do and i have never had a problem!

Actually, what is happening to you involves the acidity of your body. Fish oil- with only omega 3 is not always easily digested. THE BEST - fish oil, especially for anabolic minds, is one that has DHA, and EPA- they work together to digest easier and have a higher bioavailability. If you burp you should never take a liquid fish oil, you would benefit for the only doctor prescriped norweign omega capsules with a thicker clear coat membrane. Of course, you can also switch to Flax Seed Omega supplementation.
 
I always take them before eating, Im eating three 1000mg pills a day before half my meals. Im just going to go buy some new ones. Why even make the crap if this **** always happens.
 
I am curently taking tri-efa. I had the same problem for about a month. But after a month my burps just stopped tasting like fish.

yup, this is the way to go. we also dont use any harsh chemicals like others do for the enteric coating process. citrus flavored and no fish burps :)

high amount of dha/epa per softgel means less overall fat.pill consumption ;)
 
I'll try the cheap fast and easy way first, freezing them. Then If that doesn't work, Controlled Labs will make more money.
 
Big Beezy, I urge you to check out the product I mentioned above - Carlson's in bulk liquid form. The processing cost to cap the fish oil is quite expensive. Therefore, in the bulk form, it's far cheaper, and it's NOT that much of a problem to pour a little in a measuring teaspoon and swallow. Carlson's is widely regarded as one of the top-notch distillers as well.
 
synper, no disrespect intended, but I have read an exhaustive amount of scientific literature on n-3s and have never come across anything that described fish oil absorption is negatively affected when consumed with a meal. Care to cite a reference?
 
Krill oil caps at Nutraplanet help also. I get naseau from fish oil and take them at night to avoid it but krill does not bother me ever.

you also need to be sure they are pure from contaminants and the epa/dha level is high

take them usually after meal.
 
Get enteric coated capsules

I do not have a problem with them any more since I have been taking them everyday for years at a time I guess I am just used to them.
 
Always make sure to cut open your gelcaps and get a good whiff when you first buy them to make sure you do not have a rancid batch (all brands). Then either refridgerate or freeze (the best) bottle upon opening. Would you leave your fish out for a month and still eat it?

Correct, there are no fish oil burps from Animal Omega.

Invalid Link Removed damn that is a good price. later this week we will be putting up a 3rd party report showing that it has far less than the strictest governing body's (California prop 65) upper limit lever of acceptable PCB content

I dont know of any competitors who do this
 
With all of that being said... I've personally been taking and recommending an omega 3 fish oil supplement to practically everyone I know. And that, my friends, should tell you just how useful and important I think it is.
 
They've been In the fridge for a few days now, I'm going to take one more today, If I get the taste of fisdh balls in my mouth, Im going to be furious. Im planning on buying an Animal Stak, better than my multi. I heard somewhere they have Omega's in them? If not ill just pick up the Animal Omega and stack It.

Controlled labs, Im still unsure about your guy's supplements so far. I recently took white flood, and Im still undecided. Im going to try It again today so I know for sure. Is there anything you can reccomend from you guys that will shift my opinion? Pre-workouts are usually the easiest for me to determine, but Im up for options.

Animal, Universal, never went wrong here. All supplements I have tried are very effective. Problem Is, high doseage and price. Otherwise you guys are great.

I'll try these ones on more time, after that, I'll just get one of your products.

Thanks. Animal Pak does not have omegas. Animal Omega would cover all your EFA needs.

BigBeazy, also don't take them 10 min before eating. Take them no more than a couple minutes before first bite. They start to digest before other food hits the gut.

I take 9 a day usually and no burps unless I wait too long.
 
You could also try Vitamin World, 250 for $10. No burps at all. Molecular distillation to remove all the stuff you wouldnt want.

all of our products should shift your opinion. how many times did you use wf? fridge or freezer? fridge wont do anything at all.
 
Took It today, otherwise a few weeks ago. I got a little sample of It and I think I need a higher dosage. It's only one serving In It and I think I should atleast take two?

Any product do you know of that will just like shock me I guess. Example: Jack3d shocked me, ASGT, Animal Cuts, Just any product stands out over the rest?
