Fish oil and gi distress

Hey guys, I was wondering what the best fish oil would be for someone who has stomach problems. A lot of members of my family have ibs , I swear I do too it's just never been diagnosed but my stomach always gives me problems. Anyways I've tried a few different fish oils in the past like NOW but they all bothered me. Is there a brand that wouldn't mess with my stomach? Also I remember reading somewhere that most fish oil capsules are actually rancid and if I poked them with a needle the smell would be horrendous. A reputable brand that doesn't cause gi distress and doesn't use rancid fish oil would be the best. Thanks to anyone who can help

Always treated me well. I just take mine pre-bed and sometimes frozen. Seems to help.

Fish oil pills, even enteric coated have always given me the worst reflux ever! I switched to a liquid and it's a night and day difference. The brand I use is expensive and must be kept refrigerated but it's one of the best ones out IMO. Triglycerides, not rancid = winner in my book.

I forget how much EPA is useful for ibs and such. Look for it on pubmed. I use 3 softgels to ease joint pain. I would use no more than that.
