First time - test cycle

Hey all, need some help on this.

Looking to run test c standalone for the first time.

Considering 500mg/ week at 12 weeks.
Oral Nolva for pct - 50mg/week for 4 weeks.

I’ve heard running AI is a must but also have seen others run without it. Thoughts on this?

My main concern is shutdown after cycle.

hey bro,

test dose, length all good

nolva dose doesn’t look right. Nolva is typically 20mg a day (clomid is 50 a day).......(you can drop to 10 or 25 respectively for the last week)

you’d need to wait 2-3 weeks after last pin to start pct (test c half life appox 7 days)

ai is very individual. Imo by far the best approach is bloods every couple of weeks to monitor (definitely get a baseline set before you start) but if that’s not possible then wait until gyno sides show up before you start an ai

having the ai on hand before you start is essential though

Thanks Whiskey - any suggestions on a good AI for a first cycle? Arimidex seems to be what I see used often. Never used it - I always leaned on Nolva. and it seemed to do well.

Aromasin (Exemestane) is my suggestion.
Remember, Nolva doesn't reduce Estrogen. So if you have other (non-gyno) high Estro symptoms (like bloating), an AI will be what you need.

As @Whisky mentioned, ur test dosage and length is perfect; I do recommend splitting it into two 250mg injections like Mon/Thurs if you hadn’t already planned on it. I would go with clomid 50/50/25/25 started 2 weeks after last injection instead of nolva. You could extend it the clomid another 2 weeks if you wanted to really play it safe. As far as AI’s go, id definitely grab some aromasin or arimidex. 12.5mg aromasin 2x a week or .5mg arimidex twice a week is what I’d personally start with, but everyone is different.
 
Great advise as always has been posted. I have never used a AI but always keep one on hand, I am ok trt and have nolva on hand too just in case. Have you also thought about a kick start compound for the first 4 weeks? The first month on test is pretty boring and can get you down especially if it’s your first time pinning

definitely agree on the kickstart as well. 40mg anavar for the first 4 weeks would be perfect I think

Agree to all the responses here. Most people taper the serm post cycle, as is suggested here.
No, not everyone needs an AI... But yes, everyone should have on hand when starting a cycle. I've used exemestane multiple times while on cycle and it has worked great. The big takeaway here is that you dont want to overdue it on the AI and tank your estrogen because you'll feel like **** and your libido/gains will be in the toilet.
I am a huge fan of an oral kickstart. My thought process is that if you're gonna be shutdown, you may as well get as much gains as possible. I've only ever used dbol and tbol, but I'm sure anavar would do well too. Depends on what your goals for the cycle are. The biggest thing I had to figure out was how to eat properly for what I was trying to accomplish.

I’ve never used Clomid - what’s the big differences between it and Nolva?

For an AI, it sounds like aromasin or arimidex are the two to focus on. Either of these have worst sides the the other?

Aromasin has the least sides.

Nolvadex has less reported sides (on average).

Yep.

Some people get zero sides from Clomid.
But overall, Nolva is more user friendly.

Thanks fellas- I appreciate the guidance. Looking forward to running this cycle. I think I’ll pick up Aromasin and stick with Nolva.

I ran a very similar cycle to yours. Don't dismiss nipple sensitivity and other beginner or early stage gyno symptoms for nothing. Run the low AI and keep yourself in check. I neglected to do so and I'm fighting gyno pretty bad in my 6th week PCT
