First Cycle?

I guess I would just like to see when everyone did their PH cycle and how it went. I'd like to do a 4 week cycle of either Havoc or Epistane, but I'm not sure when I want to start (this year, next year, or any year) or if I'm even ready yet. I started lifting about 6 years ago, but it has not been until the last year or so that I really got serious about putting on size. I am about 5 ft 10 and 185, but I would not say I'm lean ( I should probably do some sort of body fat testing at some point ) My goal has been to put on size and then eventually lean out. My diet is definitely part of the problem as I eat a lot and am not particularly careful about what I eat, though I try to eat a lot of protein. Also, just finished my first non-hormonal stack and put on about 5 lbs of mass by doing so. I've really seen my bench press increase over the nh stack period to about 265. I just wondered when I should start thinking about switching over. I would certainly like to put on more size, and I would also like to slim down a little, but currently the size is what I would like to put on more. I've done a lot of research pretty much all supplements that are discussed on this site, so I am not just throwing this suggestion out of nowhere. I'm really just looking to hear some ancedotal evidence from everyone and possibly some constructive feedback. Also I would entertain other suggestions and ideas that anyone may have. Thanks.

i don't want to sound harsh or anything but a good cycle is about discipline and in order to take maximum advantage of a cycle your diet and training has to be on otherwise it's a waste imo. So first get your diet in check. 2nd define your goals very thoroughly are you sure you want to put on size or be more muscular. Because i can tell i know alot of people who look alot bigger once they drop bf% even if they weigh less. Once you are sure of what you want to do and have your diet and everyhting else in check go for it. the first cycle is usually one of the best if not the best so you want to be fully prepared to take advantage

Yes, please don't hesitate being blunt. I don't mind. I'm really just looking for honest feeback. I appreciate your response, it's very helpful. I guess the real goal is more muscular as opposed to more overall mass, yes. I guess if you can elaborate more on the diet, that would be great. I assume you mean cutting out fats and carbs and trying to eat more lean meats and foods? Yes, if I were to pursue a first cycle, I would certainly want to make sure I had my diet in line prior to doing so, though I'm not exactly sure yet what that entails.

by diet i mean knowing how many calories you are actually getting knowing how many grams of protein what type of carbs you are getting. Use a diet tracker and enter your meals. many people don't actually know how much they are taking in and diet can make a HUGE difference diet also depends on your goals. Make realistic goals. Like i want to lose this much fat in this many weeks. or I want to increase my bench or overhead press by this many pounds. all these help the anabolic is just one part of a successfull cycle

figure out how to get what you want yourself to look like without the hormonals and that will go a long way in helping you to have a much more beneficial cycle

Thanks I appreciate the feedback. So get to almost where I want without hormonals and then use them as the extra edge over the top as opposed to using them just to get to that first stage.

Actually, figure out your diet and workouts needed so that you are consistently making gains. Know what you are eating daily and how that affects your weight(calories needed daily to gain weight but not fat weight) and your workout routine that keeps you fresh and getting stronger, not overtraining. Once consistent with all that you can throw in the possibility of hormonals. This will help you have better control of the results with them!!

I've put on some weight in the past few months,.. anyways I'm getting things ready for an epi run in Oct/Nov, should I try to get leaner with cardio or just use a fatburner on cycle?

Let me know how this goes for you.

I've actually started tightening up my diet, doing morning cardio on an empty stomach, and am taking vpx meltdown. Began the 1st of the month and lost 3 pounds. I expect the loss to increase, but who knows?!?! I don't really know if this is proper or not, but I figure it's all trial and error. I'm doin' the epi cycle in Nov and want to have as little bodyfat as possible when I begin. I will start a thread and see where it goes from there.
