First Cycle, Two Questions (first post)

Height: 6’1”
Weight: 220
Body Fat %: rough estimate sits between 10-12% (inbody scans and Hume home body pod)
~10 years weight lifting experience

Just started what I’d call a “intro cycle” of Test C 300mg / wk with Primo E 100mg / wk
I used a clinic to start my T journey at 180mg / wk for a few months, mainly to assess how my body responded and learn about the PED / AAS world rather than just jumping in. I’m a rather precautious person so I like to know as much as possible and have my bases covered in order to feel more comfortable as things get more serious.
Diet has been dialed, lifting schedule and training are quite good, cardio has been steady as well. I’ve been quite lucky to have 0 side effects on the test. No noticeable mood swings with E2 or joint discomfort. No gyno or anything like that either (thankfully). After first blood work the doctor called me a “hyper responder” which sounded good lol.
Question #1: what are everyone’s thoughts on this cycle and approach? I’d like to add an oral as a finisher as the cycle ends and summer approaches (planned on doing 20 weeks). Main physique goal is golden era style, so nothing crazy granular, but high quality size and shape.

For the next part, as luck would have it I met a lady and we’ve been going out. On those date nights she likes to have a few drinks and I join her. But want to keep it controlled so I max out at 2 standard drinks per evening, vodka sodas of choice to keep sugar low, maybe a glass of dry red wine instead / depending. But regardless it’s 2 standard sized drinks per date night. I only allow myself to drink once per week on these dates, other than that I do not drink alcohol whatsoever in order to maximize the results from this cycle and my journey, I’m doing this purely for myself and am trying to take it quite seriously.(background, always been in decent shape but still fully enjoyed the social life and going out to bars, about this time last year I stopped drinking to really begin locking in and get in even better shape before beginning any type of cycle, I didn’t want to just “hop on” I wanted to be as prepared as possible. So drinking became a purely special occasion thing for me, at the very most over the past year i would consume alcohol once a month, maybe twice a month at the very most) But I also want to enjoy life and have a good time. I’m not aiming to go for a pro card or for some other reason like a sponsorship. This is purely for the love of the game and to look as good as possible. I know that people have some mixed feelings or emotions about this but hey, I’ve always loved body building and I’ve always wanted to see what id look like pushed beyond the normal physiological boundaries.
So, Question 2: how detrimental to my plan are these date night drinks? I can’t help but feel a sense of guilt or anxiety over it. It makes me feel like those nights I am wiping away all of the hard work I have spent time and effort into building. I have been having some trouble finding an answer to this scenario online so figured I’d post it here.

Apologies for lengthy message just wanted to give the forum a full background.

The Primo at 100 a week is a complete waste of money….the drinks shouldn’t be a problem as long as you are hydrating properly and not binge drinking, getting wasted etc. Good luck, as you sound highly motivated and eager to learn

To echo what Dblock stated. I would just bump up the Test for the first run Primo definitely needs to be higher to yield much of anything Two drinks per week shouldn't be an issue. Running test only for a bit will give you a good idea of how your body will respond to it and get blood work done to keep an eye on all your health and hormone markers. You'll go a heck of a lot farther knowing how your body responds to each compound.

Some are saying 100mg is a waste. I would disagree. It's a nice dose to control estrogen without crashing it. I've crashed estrogen with primo before. Horrible. It's also anabolic. Not as strong as test but it's still an extra bump. I would say it's worth trying. It's also pretty safe in the anabolic field.

2 drinks is fine. Don't feel guilty at all. I would only stress about alcohol if your running orals. If the rest of your routine is good ie food and training then your all good.

One thing I always stress and it's a common issue these days. You need food to grow. I see so many people now trying to add mass and stay lean also. I use to get alot of messages on other forums/reddit etc of guys blasting test and eating 2000 calories saying their wanting to pack on a ton of mass and shred up. If you want the max results from a cycle you need food. You can run 500mg of test and do 2 hour weight sessions and still not grow if food isn't dialed in. When I use to tell them this they would block me lol. They want to hear that they will get 'swole' on 2000 calories and awful workout plans.

I was one of those people.... And learned.

Best of luck and enjoy the ride!

I guess we have a bunch of alcoholics in here, lol. I never understood the urge to drink, especially if you’re serious about training. If you’re serious about something you have no issue to drop things that’s not beneficial for you, drinking alcohol is not beneficial.

If you said 2 drinks a month, I would say don’t worry about but if you “have to have to 2-4 drinks” a week you might have a problem.

Stay a skinny fat alcoholic, I don’t care but don’t try to normalize drinking every week.

Just my opinion... I wouldn't worry about 2 drinks a week under normal circumstances. HOWEVER... if i was serious enough to take PEDs you bet your ass I'd drop them in a second. If I'm considering PED'S I'm in 110%. Everything else in my life would be optimized.

If your lady freind doesn't understand you having a soft drink, that's a red flag already

2 alcohol drinks a week is nothing. Do you honestly think that's gonna make you 'skinny fat'? Or derail your progress? That to me sounds like orthorexia.

Is alcohol bad? Yes. Absolutely. The body treats it like a poison. It's not all just negatives though. Especially when it's in a controlled manner like the OP is suggesting.

I could list numerous people who have amazing physiques who still have alcohol in their routine.

Have you ever ran an oral anabolic? Their far more harsh on the body than 2 alcohol drinks a week. Run even 5mg anavar a day for 1 month and check bloods. Pretty certain it will be 10x worse than 2 alcohol drinks a week.

Like I said, it’s not my business if anyone wants to be a skinny fat alcoholic. 2 alcohol drinks a week doesn’t sound very much but that’s 104 drinks a year and it’s usually never “only 2 drinks” either. If you feel that you need to drink alcohol you’re either in the wrong surroundings or not in the right state of mind, especially not if your health is important to you.

Try to justify it anyway you want but feeling the need to drink alcohol is a problem.

Good one to compare your alcoholism with it’s “just as bad as oral steroids”, at least with steroids you trying to better yourself in short cycles but with alcohol you just trying to get away from your sh*try a*s life.

I would definitely keep the primo. To help with the estrogen/progesterone build up. Unless you really like Sensitive nipples. Primo and Mast. Are great to run along with a cut or any cycle in my opinion for that very reason.
mesterolone/primo is a strong androgen with only a weak level of anabolic activity. This is due to the fact that like dihydrotestosterone, mesterolone/primo is rapidly reduced to inactive diol metabolites in muscle tissue where concentrations of the 3-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase enzyme are high. The belief that the weak anabolic nature of this compound indicates a tendency to block the androgen receptor in muscle tissue, thereby reducing the gains of other more potent muscle-building steroids, should likewise not be taken seriously. In fact, due to its extremely high affinity for plasma binding proteins such as SHBG, mesterolone may actually work to potentate the activity of other steroids by displacing a higher percentage into a free, unbound state. Among athletes, mesterolone is primarily used to increase androgen levels when dieting or preparing for a contest, and as an anti-estrogen due to its intrinsic ability to antagonize the aromatase enzyme.
It's a great A.S. to add to any cutting cycle or any other cycle.
I personally run it with all mine .
As far as drinking goes all A.S. do put a strain on your body organs adding more doesn't help .
I get sometimes we need a buzz 😩 I just eat a few gummy 😋 instead of drinking..
Just my 2cnts..

Why are people trying to treat something that isn't there? Get bloods done, if estrogen goes too high then add the Primo. Otherwise trying to blunt estrogen would be counterproductive, estrogen is necessary for igf-1 conversion. 300mg per week probably won't cause issues but continue to have blood work so you can actually see your numbers.
