Figure we could have a general firearms thread since we have been hijacking the Hi Point thread for general talk.

Last topic was on AKs and .308 semi auto rifles.

If I had $1600 to blow I'd be all over a Springfield M1A SOCOM. Still though, I'd really prefer an Israeli heavy barrel FAL!
 
fair enough :) i figured if i used that as a base and then went for all after market furniture / basically make it look like an m4 it was coming out to like 3k.. i can dream right lol... its kinda like getting a harley and then dumping double the money into chroming it :)

Dude, HD stands for hundred dollar, not a single piece of chrome for a bike under a hundred dollar LOL.

Back on topic. A fully dressed M1A would be ridiculous. While I'm not huge on AR variants, I would definitely consider a .308 version like a DPMS or Armalite. Sig does have some interesting stuff.....on that note I'm contemplating buying a Sig 1911...
 
no joke they stuff gets crazy expensive fast. harleys or any after market for that matter. ended up with coming up something similar in black with a hybrid sight solely because it looked cool in MW3

the Sig looked itneresting because it was piston operated and it if it half as rugged as the one they made on Sons Of Guns.. again 3k i dont have already spent.
 
I'm odd.. I guess. For 100 yards and in I like my 12 gauge pump with the appropriate shell loaded. 100-300 i like a solid bolt-action controlled-round feed .30-06 with the appropriate handload... but I'm oldschool.

I've seen the standard bullpup, and other type setups, but I wish there was a way I could dress my Mini-14 with furniture similar to this. I love the EOtech on there, but would consider an Aimpoint as well!
 
ahhh the ruger.. good luck :) one of them might fit it though, but the only after market one i remember seeing was that horrid bullpup setup
