Halford left shortly after the Painkillers Tour and then Tim Owens filled in for vocals, until Robs return to the band. Was Bruce Dickinson filling in on vocals while Halford left the band?
Nice, but too depressive for me, lol. I need pounding, aggressive mayhem to get in the mood. Everybody is different, I guess.

Metal lyrics aren't really the most motivating but the aggressiveness gives you energy and anger to push through the workout.
And I believe that some songs which are related to situations like training just work differently, you know I don't listen to the songs that are on my training playlist when I'm not training... If I would, they'd lose some of their effectiveness. ...Or if I would listen to them when doing daily activities I'd be like "yeaaaaah buddy let's dish these plates lightweight baby"
Aaa sorry, I thought of metal when you talked about pounding, but you meant techno! I am born in the 90'sMetal, ah, not my thing. May have to do with my age.
In youth It was break-dance and techno what turned me on, and somehow stuck with me. What generation are you?
You are right, it always depends upon the situation. Listening to hard industrial techno, while driving, gives me road rage, when dead lifting it gives me the mindset.
Privately I'm more into stuff like your first post and music like:

90's You could be my son , LOLAaa sorry, I thought of metal when you talked about pounding, but you meant techno! I am born in the 90's
I agree, industrial techno (as well as industrial metal) gives you like a hypnotic feeling, more focused when the song and situation is right.
For who?I'm trying to find a Spotify station but not having much luck so far. Frustrating.
